Paul walked closer toward the bench you were sitting at, slowly pulling his sunglasses off and clipping them to the front of his black t-shirt. He stared at you for a moment waiting for you to storm off again before he sat down beside you. Both of you remained silent for several minutes until you finally broke, never turning to look at him thoroughly.

"How did you find me?" You asked, trying not to sound annoyed.

"Well, there's only one place in this town that you go when you're pissed and want to clear your head. Since you jumped out of the car, I knew you were going there was out of the question, and you would be at the next best spot; sitting on the bench were a few of our best moments. "Paul said, with a shy smile.

Paul moved to wrap his arm around, but you moved away from him, a clear sign you were still pissed off from the fight in the parking lot. You turned to look at him, finally processing what Paul had said when he walked up.

"So where do you think I'd be if my pops were still alive?" You asked.

"Of course," he replied.

"Care to elaborate there?" You asked.

"You would be right next to me, in our house doing the same thing we've been doing for the last six months. Building a life together with little Evan, and deciding if we BOTH wanted marriage and more kids. I don't think your father being alive would have changed our paths crossing. Though I think your dad would have been pleased with your choice of a boyfriend." He said matter of fact.

You looked at him and shook your head, not entirely shocked by his comment. You thought this fight and the statement you had made about your relationship would have been the deal-breaker for him. Yet again, he threw a curveball by continuing to talk about the future with you. Paul always seemed to find a way to bring out a positive outcome.

"Paul, you honestly think we would still be living together in California with as much drama and fighting that we do? I mean, look at today. You got pissed off by a comment I made to shut my mother up. We've never discussed kids, getting married, or what either of us really wants in the future. We act like two horny teenagers at each other all the time, either having sex or fighting each other. I'm surprised there's not another little you running around." You told him, shrugging.

Paul looked at you shaking his head and chuckling at your comment. It was one of the few times you had been straight to the point with him on a subject. He moved over and wrapped his arm around you, pulling you as close as possible to him. Paul kissed the top of your head before letting out a deep breath.

"Fighting is healthy Y/N. Everyone does it. Plus, you have to admit the makeup sex is phenomenal," He replied.

You glared at him before punching his arm. Paul rubbed his arm as he pouted at you for a second before you both went into a laughing fit. The two of you wiped the tears from your eyes, trying to catch your breath after a couple of minutes.

Paul patted his leg in a silent request for you to climb in his lap. You shook your head, no remaining in your spot until he lifted you up and over to his lap. You attempted to move back, but Paul grasped you tighter, making you scowl at him.

"You just love to do things the hard way, don't you?" He asked.

"Sometimes, it makes things a little more interesting," you replied before sticking your tongue out at him.

"Don't start something you can't finish Y/N," He said sternly.

You leaned over, kissing Paul's neck before laying your head into the crook of his neck. You both sat and watched the sunset for a while. You slowly traced your fingers down Paul's chest. Smiling to yourself as you heard him let out a content sigh.

"So about that little fight, apparently there's a lot to talk about. I don't know if it's worth it anymore. You don't need all of this drama." You said, continuing to stare at the sky.

"You mean you don't feel worth it," Paul said, pulling your chin toward him.

"I mean, I'm really not. You've had months of examples there, Paul. It's not just you that you have to think of now. There's Evan too. Look how pissed you got when I made a simple comment to my mom. Something just said to shut her up. You've never said what you wanted." you told him.

Paul looked at you in disbelief that you still thought that. He felt the anger growing inside, knowing how much those people had fucked you up and how much more love you needed to hopefully make you see yourself in the same light he did. Paul needed to get you back home with your new family. He pushed back a piece of your hair behind your ear before clearing his throat.

"You know we don't fight near as much as Pam and I did. That relationship was filled with drama. From the minute my feet touched hit floor, I had already fucked up the day in some way in her eyes. You and I fight, but not in a way that it ever crosses my mind that YOU aren't worth it." Paul told you.

You went to cut him off, but Paul held his hand up to stop you. He looked at you for a second waiting to see if you would try to stop him again. When you didn't, he grinned at you before he continued.

Do we have quite a few things to talk about? Hell yeah, this is still new! Just because I was upset by you brushing our relationship off like that doesn't mean I don't love you, and we are over. Yeah, you frustrate me. However, it's all worth it, I promise you. As for Evan, well, he's already decided too that you're worth it. He was more worried about where you were than hanging out with me." Paul told you.

"I love you, Paul, we definitely have a lot to discuss back home," you told him.

"I love you too, but does the makeup have to wait until we get back home as well?" He smirked before kissing your cheek.

"Come on, Romeo, let's get this stuff to your favorite mother in law," you replied.

The two of you stood up from the bench and walked hand in hand to the car. You were still uneasy about the looming trip back to the hospital, with Jake knowing Paul was with you.
