Chapter:4

I drove around and arrived at Lito's Eye Care Center where Karie has her appointment. I parked my car then went out, may mga babaeng napatingin sa'kin at tumili. This is why I don't confess to Karie, ayaw kong maramdaman niya na delikado ako sa mga babae. I want her to feel like I'm only her boy.

"Kanina pa kayo?" Tumabi ako kay Karie at kinausap si Jess. I saw her looking down tapos kinuha ko ang ear phones ko tapos sinuot sa kaniya. I played Slow Dance for her.

"Kariessa Rivers." Tawag nung babae kay Karie tapos ngumuso si Jess and smirked at me.

I helped her to Tito Lito's office then went back to Jessica. I looked at her and smiled.

"Kinikilig ka?"

"I just want to hug her, you know? I want to make her feel like I'm just behind her if she ever needs me."

"She's mad at you, idiot." She said. "Bakit mo kasi pinadama na wala siyang halaga? Turn off talaga 'yan."

"I was scared ok? Ayaw ko din naman sabihin sa kaniya na gusto ko siya. I know girls are heart broken when they're jealous."

"True pero still. If you want Karie then go. Hindi 'yung hihintayin mong pumanget ka para wala siyang kaagaw, that would be like waiting for filipino people to stop judging each other. Imposible." Ouch naman Jess, may pinag-dadaanan ka ba? "All I'm saying is kung mahal mo siya ay hindi mo hahayaang mawala siya, kahit sino ang mag-kagusto sa'yo kasi mahal mo siya at hindi mo siya ipapag-palit."

"Alam ko pero naiinis din ako sa gwapo kong mukha." Hayss..

"Naiinis din ako sa mukha mong makapal ka, leche ka?"

"Pero seryoso, gwapo si Kuya?" Tinanong ko kay Jess pero umiling siya. "Wehhh?"

"Fine. You do look good pero focus. Karie's heart is already shattered, don't be like this ok?" Tumango ako at yumakap siya sa'kin. "Aalis na ako. Go take Karie home."

"Saan ka naman pupunta?"

"Kay babe."

"I'm gonna cut his damn throat." I leaned back. "Kahit best friend ko siya."

"Bye Kuya! Love you!"

I heard Karie screaming because of a Rat? Woah, this building is crazy. May babaeng tumabi sa'kin, she was wearing a crop top and some jean shorts.

"Hey." She said.

"Hey." I replied.

"I'm Wynona." She introduced herself. "You are?"

"Johnson." I smiled then looked at my watch. "What is taking her so long?"

"Are you here with anyone?"

"Yeah."

"Are you single?" Sabi na nga ba. "Kasi kung hindi then I'm free on Saturday. Are you busy on that day?"

"Yeah. I'm gonna take care of Karie."

"Karie?"

"She's the patient to Mr. Lito's office." I explained.

"Who is she to you?"

"Someone really important." I smiled when she lost her smile. May tumawag sa'kin na tapos na daw si Kari. Tito Lito told me what Karie needs and about some special glasses. I was driving when Karie said she was hungry. Ayaw niyang sabihin kung anong gusto niya kaya ako ang may paraan. I parked my car in our garage then helped her out. "Sit here." I placed her on the sofa and opened my speaker tapos pinatunog ko ang playlist na ginawa ko based on her liked songs.

Iniwan ko siya at pumunta sa kusina. I was cooking lunch, beef and veggies lang muna ngayon kasi walang pork. I served it on a plate and walked towards her, she was singing along with Tila Tala ni Syd Hartha.
