George's Kindness

CHAPTER 18

Before George woke up, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Fred came to the cabin early in the morning and brought their suitcases, Anna made breakfast from the groceries Remus had bought, they sat in the living room and had breakfast, the snow melted this morning but it was still cold.

Anna was in her mother's silk nightgown, she was full of stress from last night.

George woke up, he looked at them and said in a morning deep voice, "Morning," Giving them a weak smile, he slowly straightened up and covered himself down with a blanket.

"Brother, you look awful," Fred joked and approached him, he sat down next to him and asked, "How are you?"

"Feeling good actually, I still look better than you," He laughed and grabbed his chest from pain, he looked at Anna, "Honey, did you sleep?"

She looked at him with a pale face, she shook her head and sighed, "Not at all, don't worry."

George felt guilty because she was full of stress because of him, the others just kept quiet, Ron handed him a slice of jam to eat, "C'mon eat, you haven't eaten anything since last night."

"Thanks lil bro," He took a slice and moved closer to the table, "Where is Ginny?"

"We didn't tell her anything the way you wanted, shes still asleep, I told Luna to spend a day with her," Hermione said and took the bag and the letter from it, she handed it to Anna, "Your father sent you this."

Anna looked at her confused and took the letter, she slowly opened it and started reading in her head.

"My dear daughter,

I can't forgive myself for what I did, I don't want to be near George because that boy is scared of me so I decided to leave Hogwarts and go to the Burrow to be with Sirius, Molly and Arthur. I'll explain the situation to them, I hope they can forgive me and I'm afraid of their reaction, I'm afraid of myself, I'm a monster Anna. Sorry I left without greetings, hugs and kisses but I promise I'll see you soon. That cabin you are in now belonged to your mother and me, you will be able to find old pictures and letters around the house, read them and look around, you will understand everything, maybe you will find out some things and I am sorry that I did not have time to explain to you. I told Dumbledor what happened, he let you be there, even though George only had a few days left until graduation, it doesn't matter now. I hope you can forgive me, you know I would never hurt him in that way,

Love Remus."

At the end of the letter he drew a small heart and filled it with ink.

Everyone watched her as she let a tear run down her cheek which she wiped when she put down the letter, she sighed deeply and continued to have breakfast, "He left."

George took her hand and said quietly, "I'm so sorry, it's my fault Anna."

"No George, neither you nor Remus are to blame, okay?" She said through a trembling voice that hurt everyone.

"I'm so sorry Anna, we are here for you," Hermione hugged her.

"Come on, let go of the sadness now, why don't we some fun, right?" Everyone smiled and agreed at Fred's words, but George looked at him sharply and said with a sarcastic laugh, "Ahaha, yeah let me just stand up."

Anna laughed and said, "Don't be like that, Fred is right," She got up and brought the chess from her father's table, "Ron and Harry are playing first, I know they are professionals," She put the set in front of them, they split the figures and started playing.

Everyone watched them as they played, Ron led the first round that made Harry to get annoyed and swear, they laughed at his nervousness.

"Fuck Ron, how are you so good at this? If you move, I'm dead," Harry scratched his hair and focused on the figures.
