"You did what?" Jin screeched getting up from the bed, tripping over his feet due to a sudden wave of dizziness.
"Jin, wait," Jungkook quickly rose from his side of the bed with his hands out before him trying to calm the elder. "I can explain. I know this sounds really bad—"
"You think? Are you fucking kidding me right now? You went behind my back—went on a fucking date with my ex—"
"I didn't know he was your ex—"
"You still went on a fucking date!" Jin shrieked. He cupped his head to calm himself down. He needed to calm down.
"It wasn't a date! It was a get together between colleagues,"
"Bull-fucking-shit! You went on a fucking date DESPITE dating me! And then you told him you would date him knowing we were together," Jin took a deep inhale, he could feel the tears returning but for a completely different reason now.
"I didn't agree to date him! I said, if I wasn't together with you, then I would—"
"Are you seriously trying to justify your self right now? Do you hear how you sound? Jungkook, you fucking agreed to date my ex while dating me. You gave him an opening and that man is like a parasite! If he sees an opening, he will do everything in his power to weasel his way in!" Jin began pacing, muttering to himself. "Not again, not again, please not again. Why, why, why! What the fuck have I done to deserve this? Why does this keep happening?"
Jungkook felt shame, the guilt he felt before only doubling in size. He never wanted to hurt Jin, why couldn't he have just said no to Minho?
"Jin, I never meant to hurt you—"
"If you didn't want to hurt me you would have never agreed to go out with him! Who the fuck does that, Jungkook? How could you do this to me? Why Minho? Why? Did I do something to make you want to hurt me? Did I make you upset? Do something wrong? What? Please tell. If it's something I did you gotta tell me."
"You didn't do anything. I promise, Jin. I just—"
"Then what is it! Why does this keep happening? Do I have a big fucking sign on my head that says 'Cheater Wanted'? Please tell me because I really wanna know." Jin collapsed into a squat, pulling at his hair.
"I didn't cheat—" Jungkook immediately regretted those words as soon as they left his mouth. He saw Jin stiffen in his crouch and knew he fucked up yet again. He felt the cold hand of fright run up his spine and knew he definitely overstepped. He knew what he did was wrong but did know to what extent; Jungkook has never had to go through a situation like this before.
"You betrayed me. You may not have cheated on me, physically" Jin said through clenched teeth. He stood and brought his hands down to clap each sentiment, "But you did by giving him the go-ahead for a hypothetical future where I was not involved!"
"I only said yes to him to get him out of my hair! I wasn't going to leave you for him! Minho makes me uncomfortable and I don't feel for him what I do for you!" Jungkook was panting, a cold sweat began to coat his body. He was terrified and didn't know what to do but he needed Jin to see his side. He took a few steps toward Jin only for the elder to take as many steps back, furthering the distance.
"Jin, I know what I did was wrong, you don't have to tell me," Jungkook swallowed, his saliva feeling abnormally thick in his mouth. "I said it because I didn't think Minho would act on it. He looked crazy at that moment and I knew he wouldn't leave me alone if I had said no,"
Jungkook watched as the tears spilled over and cascaded down over Jin's cheeks, he had never felt so much pain wreck through him than in that very moment where Jin looked at him in utter betrayal. Suddenly, the stiffness in Jin's shoulders gave way and sagged as if he were defeated. All fight seemingly gone from his face and body. He looked exhausted and fragile, Jungkook swallowed down the urge to go to him and elope him in his arms.
