Layla had decided to stay and she was glad. She was pregnant and she knew that moving wasn't the best idea.

Layla knew that cal wanted to try again and she knew that she didn't trust him. He had broken her heart. Layla sat in the car and sighed as she sat playing with the chain around her neck and sighed. She knew that it was the necklace that cal had got her when they started to date years ago.

She couldn't seem to take it off it meant to much to her. Layla knew just how complicated that things were and she knew that she was pregnant and that she needed to put her baby first.

Layla stood from the car as she walked into the ED. She smiled as she saw Lola and Iain as they stood talking as she walked into the staffroom as she saw cal. He looked to her and smiled

"I know that things are tense with us but I want you to know that I love you still but I want to be involved with the baby" cal said as she smiled

"I'd never cut you out your the father after all" Layla said as cal looked to her and smiled

Layla stood by reception as Lola walked over to her and smiled as she looked to her

"how are you feeling?" Lola asked

"I'm tried, I don't know if it's the baby or if it's the emotional trauma of what had been happening with me and cal. We aren't back together but we both agreed that we need to put that baby first. It's for the best for the baby's sake. I don't want it born into a toxic environment between its parents it's not fair" Layla said as Lola looked to her and smiled

"I get that. You and cal know how important this baby is and you will both out it first and it's hard but you will do it and maybe one day you will get back together who knows" Lola said as Layla looked to her

"I really don't know" Layla said as Lola smiled

"I know what he did and how he hurt you but it was a mistake and I do know that part of you is still in love with him and wants to make it work. Just give it a bit of time" Lola said as Layla looked to her and smiled not knowing what to think.

Layla knew that she and cal had been through so much and she knew that they had been damaged and she didn't want to cross that line but it was easier said that done

Layla stood in resistance. She looked to cal as he worked on and injured child and smiled. It made her think of how much he was going to he a good dad and it reminded her of the cal that she fell in love with.

Layla knew it wasn't going to be easy with them to try and raise a child together when they had split up but she knew that they had to do it.

They owed it to their child and Layla knew it was the best thing to do but how long would of be before they found themselves falling back in love with each other
