Second Happy Ending [COMPLETED]

CHAPTER 33

(Allyson's POV.)

"He is somewhat lucky because the tightness of the rope was bearable. He could still have died if he was left alone hanging himself the whole night." The doctor said.

"I-is he going to be okay?" I asked.

"Yes he will. But I suggest him to get a psychological treatment after. A person who attempted to commit suicide must have been emotionally unstable." I was out of words in a moment but my eyes was locked up to Fabian who is still unconscious.

I sat down and hold his hand tightly. My tears fell down as I was looking at him silently.

"I-I'm sorry... You've been through a lot because of me." I whispered then I closed my eyes.

"How did we end up an ill-fated relationship, Fabian? Everything was just so magical in the beginning... h-how did we end up in this tragedy?" Pagtatanong kong umiiyak sa kanya.

"FABIAN?! FABIAN ANAK!" Napalingon ako at nung makita kong patakbong lumapit sa amin yung nanay niya ay napatayo ako.

"H-how can you do this to me, son? H-how can you be so heartless?" Humahagulhol itong umiiyak nung lapitan niya yung anak niyang wala paring malay.

Napaatras ako sabay yumukong nakakagat labi dahil nahihiya akong harapin yung nanay niya ngayon. Dahil sakin kung bakit nakaratay sa kama yung anak niya. Dahil sakin kaya sinisira nung anak niya yung buhay niya. Paano ko siya haharapin matapos kung saktan ng sobra sa Fabian?

"T-tita sorry po.." Mahinang sambit ko sa gilid na hindi siya magawang titigan sa kanyang mga mata.

"Hanggang kelan mo sasaktan yung anak ko, Allyson?" Tinanong niya akong nangingintab sa luha yung magkabilang mga pisnge niya.

"He was still recovering from his older brother's death. H-how can you do this to him? I can't lose another son again so please just kill me..." Nang sabihin niya iyon ay umiiyak siya habang pinagsususuntok sa harapan ko yung dibdib niya.

"Kill me... just please don't hurt my son anymore."

"I'm so sorry tita." Humihikbing giit ko sabay umiiling.

"Fabian's life has never been smooth from the day he didn't show up on the wedding up until now. He was frowned by the people and everyone talks ill to him because of hurting you, Allyson. Yet not everyone is aware that he is also suffering on his own. He has been hiding his infertility even to his parents because he was ashamed of us. Everyone vent their anger to him but I never once heard him complain. M-my poor son..." Nang sabihin niya iyon ay nakita kong ibinaling niya yung titig niya kay Fabian. Hinawakan niya ng mahigpit yung kamay nito habang umiiyak kaya nadurog ng sobra yung puso ko nung marinig ko yung kwentong iyon mula sa nanay niya.

"Please tell Allyson that I want her to have a happy ending this time, even though I am not part of that ending anymore. I want her to have a second happy ending and I will always be loving her until death." Giit nung nana niya sabay tumitig sa mga mata ko.

"T-that's the last message he wanted me to  relay to you. My son... my son has always been rooting for you happiness because he loves you so much. At dahil mahal ka niya, ay hindi ko kayang magalit sayo." She added.

I felt a sudden stab on my chest and my eyes immediately shred into tears now that I realize how he went through hell because of me. Nanghina yung mga tuhod ko kaya napasandal ako sa pader upang humugot ng suporta.

Ramdam ko yung paninikip ng sobra nung dibdib ko at wala akong ibang nagawa kundi ang maawa na lamang sa kanya. I feel sorry for him... Magmula noong makauwi ako ng Pilipinas ay isinisi ko sa kanya yung lahat, without listening to his side. Now I realize that I should not judge a person without knowing his point of view.
