Jeongguk furrows his eyebrows at Lalisa and Jimin, seeing them engage in a conversation together as if they're lifelong friends. This made Jeongguk curious - it was either Lalisa was just overly social, Jimin found her intelligent, or they really were life-long friends.
They're here at the police station, and Lalisa tagged along with them. Earlier this morning, Lalisa suffered from an extreme headache and kept vomiting, so Jeongguk had to escort her to the doctor.
Jeongguk was going to drop her off at his house, but the station called and needed his presence immediately. Thus bringing Lalisa along with him.
Once he was back from his quick mission, he found Lalisa and Jimin already talking nonstop, with Lalisa sitting across Jimin's desk.
Jeongguk pursed his lips at this, crossing his arms over his chest as he decided to eavesdrop on their conversation. If ever he was caught, he decided to just tell Jimin that he needed help with a case and that he was just waiting for their conversation to end.
As he gradually neared them, he overheard Lalisa mentioning Chaeyoung's name.
"I can handle that," Lalisa tells Jimin.
Jimin lifts his eyebrows, surprised. "Are you sure? Won't it stress you out?"
"No offense, cop, but I've handled worse than that. Now that I recall Chaeyoung, I can lend her a hand." She coolly shrugs her face as blunt as ever - something that Jeongguk found odd.
Jimin smiled at Lalisa. "That's great! I'll give you her number so you two can directly contact each other. Thank you so much, Lalisa."
Lalisa just shrugged and handed her phone to Jimin. However, her phone was quickly snatched from the male's grasp when Jeongguk suddenly entered the scene and beat the older into typing another number.
Jeongguk returned Lalisa's phone to her and tucked his hands in his pockets. "Oh, you're here," she beams, suddenly shifting her mood and smiling at him. Jimin badly refrained from laughing at Lalisa's sudden change of character.
"Yeah, I've entered the room for seven minutes now, then I've been leaning on my desk for a whole two minutes," Jeongguk tells her. "What's up with giving her Chaeyoung's number?" he asks Jimin.
Jimin turns towards Jeongguk and calmly smiles. "Chaeyoung needs help with something, and I think Lalisa is the only one who can help her."
"Can't I help Chaeyoung?" Jeongguk asks Jimin.
Lalisa stopped at this, arching an eyebrow at his sudden question. "Why do you wanna help Chaeyoung?" she innocently asks.
"So you don't have to do all the work," Jeongguk tells her, his eyes shot directly at Jimin.
Jimin looked at Jeongguk thoroughly, inwardly sighing in relief upon seeing that Jeongguk was telling the truth. "Chill, Jeongguk. I'll make sure that she won't get exhausted."
"He knows about my pregnancy, right?" Lalisa asks Jeongguk, delicate doe eyes batting innocently at him.
Of course, Lalisa wouldn't forget that Jeongguk doesn't know that she knows about Jimin, knowing she's pregnant. To end that problem once and for all, she decides to bring that up.
"What?" was all Jeongguk could say, arching an eyebrow at her.
"I do," Jimin honestly says. Jeongguk glared at him in an instant for admitting that quickly. "What? She told me, anyway!" Jimin lied. But did Jeongguk catch that? No.
He was too preoccupied with the fact that Lalisa knew that Jimin knew. "At least he's aware, so he and I can be careful with this favour he's asking."
"You seriously can't stress yourself too much," Jeongguk tells her. "I mean it, Lalisa."
