Chapter 42. Returned

Soobin ran out of the house. He could hear Yeonjun shout for him to stop but he didn't listen. After running for ten minutes Soobin had reached his comfortable place. This place always relaxed him and is the place where he met Anna when they were kids.

Even after all these years, that place remains the same.

FlashBack

Soobin was hugging his knees while sobbing. His best friend Taehyun was going to move to Europe and he was Soobin's only friend at the time.

"Hey, why are you crying? Don't waste your tears when you can let your hurt out" a little girly voice spoke and Soobin raised his head. A small girl with short brown hair with bangs in a flower dress was smiling softly at him.

"I'm Anna. Do you want to be friends?" she asked sitting next to him. "I would love to..." Soobin said sniffing and wiping his tears.

"I'm Choi Soobin," he said still hugging his knees "I'm Hwang Anna. It's very nice to meet you," she said and smiled brighter than before.

"Why were you crying Soobin-ssi?"  she asked looking at him. "My best friend is going to Europe and I was sad about it" he admitted to which Anna said "You shouldn't cry, that will make your friend feel very sad and guilty. It will be hard for him to leave." she was smart for a small girl.

And from then on they had always been together then the squad came along after two years.

End of Flashback

Soobin was sitting under the tree just like that time when his best friend told him he will leave for Europe. That place was like a secret shelter people knew it existed they just wouldn't go there. That's why Soobin always went there when he was sad.

By now Soobin's eyes were puffy and red from all the tears. He kept asking himself why was he crying over a guy like Yeonjun. They weren't even together yet again he cursed himself for falling for him.

"Soobin please I know you can hear me let me explain myself" Yeonjun's voice echoed in the forest. "GO AWAY CHOI" he yelled and the yell echoed back.

Yeonjun didn't listen at all to what Soobin said he just followed the boy's voice and went up to him. Once he saw the boy, Yeonjun let out a sigh of relief and went up to him quietly. "Soobin..." he said softly not to scare the little boy.

Soobin raised his head and saw Yeonjun's face very close to his. He backed off very quickly. "I said leave me alone. What don't you understand in leave me alone," he said again but this time a little more calmly.

"I told you I want to clear this mess up between us. Just hear me out okay?" 

"Why should I so you can lie again to me?! Yeah No!"

"I never lied!"

"THEN WHY DID YOU BECOME FRIENDS WITH ME WE BOTH KNOW I AM THE FREAK THE LONELY KID IN SCHOOL YOU ARE THE POPULAR ONE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH ME I ALWAYS HAD A FEELING THIS WAS A LITTLE FISHY FISHY LIKE BUT NEVER SAID A THING"

"THEN WHY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE MY COMPANY?!"

"BECAUSE I LIKE YOU DUMBASS!!"

The two boys fell in deep silence. Yeonjun was a little shocked by the sudden confession of Soobin. Meanwhile, Soobin realized what he had just said and covered his mouth with his hand.

"I didn't mean to say tha--"

"You like me.."

Yeonjun still hadn't processed what Soobin had just said. Once he understood what just happened Yeonjun walked closer to the boy. Soobin was walking backward till his back hit the tree trunk. He was about to run away but Yeonjun was a little faster and pined the boy between his arms.

"Say it again..." Yeonjun said with a little slay smirk on him.

"Say what again...?" Soobin knew what Yeonjun meant he just didn't want to say it. He wanted to be mad at the other but this sudden domination wasn't doing Soobin a favor.

"What you said in your little outburst," he said looking dead into his eyes.

"I didn't say anything.." he tried to defend himself but so use.

"Me too" now he gained Soobin's attention.

"You too what?" he asked confused.

Yeonjun chuckled then said "I like you too Choi Soobin. That's why I wanted to be friends with you at school"

"Yo...You d..do.." he stuttered out loud while cursing himself.

"Yes I do Soobin," he said in a low voice leaning over to the boy.

Soobin put his hands on Yeonjun's shoulders to push him away but he was stronger. 'Of course, he is stronger dipshit he worked out unlike you' Soobin thought to himself.

"Don't try to push me away, it won't stop me, baby" Yeonjun said and it would be a lie if I said Soobin didn't lose control over his senses.

Right after Yeonjun saw Soobin losing his senses he took this golden opportunity and connected his lips with Soobin's.

Soobin's eyes widened. First, he fought back but soon kissed the older back. Their lips were removing in perfect sync. 

Yeonjun's army found their way and pulled Soobin closer by the waist. Soobin clenched onto Yeonjun's shirt tighter. 

Through the kiss, Yeonjun was pouring all his feelings out. All of it, love, sadness, worry, anger, but moreover fear. Fear of losing the first person that ever made his heart beat faster than ever.

They both parted panting hard and looking at each other. "Why did you do that?" Soobin asked his lips were a little swollen. "I told you I meant when I said I like you," Yeonjun said gripping his waist tighter.

"Why should I believe you? How do I know for sure you aren't lying to me?" at this point tears were forming again in Soobin's eyes.

"I can't force you to trust me. I will wait till you trust me from your heart" Yeonjun simply said and pulled Soobin into a big tight hug to which he returned while sobbing on his shoulders.
