He was only a demon, kidnapped for blood.  Experimented on for research. The first words he learned were, "please" and "stop." 
      He calls himself Xavier Bane now, he has since the High Warlock of Brooklyn saved his life. 
      Magnus Bane brought him into the world, showed him that there were people out there who weren't bad. 
      That not every Shadowhunter was Valentine Morgenstern.
