Nodding, Star stepped forward looping her arm in mine before pulling me out the door with her with the boys following tail.

"What time is it?" I asked, once we got out of the office. My stomach growled, reminding me that I hadn't eaten all day.

"9 PM," Jeremy replied from behind us.

My eyes widened in shock. I was gone all day. My stomach rumbled, reminding me of how much I was craving food.

"We can stop at the Caf," said Zion, reading my mind. I smiled back at him before turning to Star.

"How was class?"

"It's exam week. You're sooooo lucky you haven't been in class. The only thing I look forward to now is battles in angel class."

"Yeah, I'm glad I'm not there," I agreed as I shuddered at the thought of an exam in math.

We arrived quickly to the Cafteria where the boys offered to get food as me and Star settled down at a nearby table.

"SO tell me what's new. We haven't caught up in so long," I said, placing my face on my hands, edging forward.

Blushing, she admitted, "Me and Joel are dating now."

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?!?!" I exclaimed, reaching over the table to tackle her in a hug. She giggled at my response, her cheeks turning a darker hint of red.

"TELL ME EVERYTHING!"

"Well, we've been hanging out together for awhile. We didn't want to put a label on it just yet and I wanted to tell you but then with everything that happened, it was never the right time. He asked me to be his girlfriend when you were in the hospital."

"I'm so happy for you Star!!!! I'm so sorry I wasn't there" I squeezed her hand, sad I wasn't there for my bestfriend.

"I think almost dying is a good excuse," she joked, grinning at me.

"What are you two giggling about?" Joel asked, strolling up to the table with a platter of food in hand. I got up, throwing my arms around him in a hug and he chuckled once he realized why.

"I'm SOOOOOO happy for you guys!!!!" I exclaimed happily.

"We wanted to tell you. It just was never the right ti-" He began to explain.

"I know now and that's all that matters," I said, interrupting him. He smiled before sitting beside Star and wrapping his arm over her shoulder. I winked at her at the show of affection to which she rolled her eyes in amusement.

I looked down at the platters the boys had brought. Everything looked so delicious I didn't know where to start. I grabbed the blood bag nearest to me, downing it in seconds before I grabbed a couple wings off the platter, sucking the meat clean off in one breath. I looked up for a brief second to find Star and Tom eying me in shock.

"Sorry," I mumbled through my stuffed mouth.

"You haven't eaten in a day, I'd be the same way. How can you eat that fast?" Star asked incredulously.

"Vampire speed," Zion answered, downing a blood bag of his own in a second.

"That's so cool," Jeremy commented in wonderment.

I smiled before continuing to eat everything placed in front of me until I felt satisfied.

"We need to talk," Zion whispered into my ear, tightening his hold on my waist. I looked up at him to find a guarded expression upon his face which made my stomach do somersaults. Something was troubling him. I nodded, before turning to my friends.
