"Try not to flap so hard, instead try to glide them in the air slowly, as you picture yourself flying back."

I nodded, closing my eyes to imagine myself flying backwards. Before long, I could feel myself flying backwards. My eyes shot open as I looked back to see my wings soaring through the air, taking me backwards. I yelped in excitement as I looked at Tom, who was also grinning from ear to ear.

"Looks like you got it. I'll see if I can help the others."

He flew over to Jeremy who was struggling to copy Joel's movements, guiding him until he perfected it. I flew over to Joel and Star who were flying backwards in sync, laughing in amusement.

They taught us a few more tricks, which we learned quickly. Once all three of us were able to do everything Tom and Joel taught us, we headed back through the ceiling into the room.

Tom flew speedily over to a wall, decorated with weapons pulling out a couple swords, a bow and arrow, guns, boomerangs, gas bombs, balls, etc. He threw the weapons together in a heap before flying back up towards us.

Once he approached us he said, "Alright. In 5, we are going to get our weapons. Once everyone has their weapons, we will begin."

We each nodded, eying the pile to see which weapon we wanted.

"5....4....3....2...GO!"

We all raced as fast as we could towards the weapons pile, like we had done in class. Before we even hit the pile, Joel crashed into Jeremy causing Jeremy to go flying into Star. I changed my path of flight, flying back up to avoid her knocking me out as well. The three of them lost control as me and Tom eye each other while continuing to fly straight for the pile. I grabbed a sword, hurling it at him to throw him off as I snatched the bow and arrow. He effortlessly deflected it off with his wing before securing a gas bomb and a sword.

I flew back, placing distance between us before yelling out, "Star!" She was struggling to stand, the wind knocked out of her from Jeremy's powerful body crashing into her. Jeremy and Joel, having recovered, were making their way towards the weapons pile.

Seeing Star wasn't going to make it before they did I yelled out, "Which weapon?"

"Boomerang," she screamed as she began flying towards me.

I dived back towards the pile, noticing Joel pluck the two boomerangs out of the pile. Jeremy, standing nearby, stuffed a gas bomb in his pocket.

Seeing I wasn't going to make it in time I cried out to Jeremy, "JEREMY THE BOOMERANG."

Whipping his head back towards me to let me know he heard me, he lunged himself at Joel as I raced towards them to help. I caught Tom speeding towards me in the corner of my eye, flipping to face him. I pulled out my bow and arrow, aiming straight towards him. He pulled out a gas bomb, slowly giving me enough time to send an arrow flying straight for his gas bomb. Realizing the gas bomb would trap him before it hit me, he wrapped his wings around him like a shield, deflecting my arrow as he continued to hold on to the gas bomb. Having temporarily dealt with him, I spun around to see Jeremy and Joel pulling on the boomerang, struggling to secure it. I saw the second boomerang fall out of his pocket where he had placed it. I prepared to dive for it when I saw Star swoop in and grab it from off the ground.

Smiling at her in approval, I got distracted. Not able to react in time, I felt a blow on my leg, sending me tumbling through the air. Once I regained balance, I looked over to see Tom grinning at me, sword in hand. I smirked back, letting him know I was coming for him. I flew towards Star and Jeremy, drawing for nearer to them in case they needed me. And just like that, our battle began.
