After a few minutes, Narxus stopped, gasping to catch his breath. I know how he felt. I got exhausted as well after using my vampire speed over long distances. In my wolf form, however, I wasn't the least bit worn out. I felt as if I could do this all night. Roaring in pleasure, I continued to run through the arena, weaving around him like a maniac, bouncing off the arena walls.

"I'm glad you're enjoying yourself," He said laughing.

I opened my mouth, revealing my sharp, pegged teeth trying my best attempt at a smile. Understanding, he smiled at me before saying, "You should probably change back. We've gone way past our time."

I had almost forgotten about time. It must be night by now, Everyone must be worried sick about me. Picturing myself how I was, I shifted back with ease until I was back to myself. I looked down at my hands to see my long, slender, clawless nails.

"What time is it," I asked Narxus.

"Almost 10 PM."

I gasped in shock. I had been here almost 8 hours. Everyone must be worried sick.

Catching my worried look, he nodded before departing.

"Great work today, Saron. See you tomorrow."

I shot him a smile before racing over to where I had placed my phone. 10 missed calls from Zion, 3 from Star, 2 from Tom, and 1 from Joel. I grimaced as I opened up my texts. I opened Star's first.

Saron?

Where are you????

Are you okay?? Answer your phone!!

I started typing furiously, overcome with remorse for continuing to lie to her.

Sorry! Fell asleep in the Red Room. Coming now!

I opened the group chat to find more texts.

Tom : Anyone see Saron?

Saron : Called her. No reply

I went back to the chat to see texts from Zion as well.

Where are you?

???

I locked my phone, collecting my things to leave when my phone lit up again with another text from Zion.

I'm coming to find you

I used my vampire vision to search for him when I saw his flitting figure nearing the room I was in. I remained where I was, waiting for him to arrive. I reproached myself for being careless, yet again and forgetting about my friends. In the midst of me beating myself up, Zion ran up to me, grabbing me in distress, running his eyes up and down my body searching for any signs of injury.

"Are you okay? Where have you been?"

"I'm soooo sorry..I was training...I wasn't on my phone and-" I rambled, trying to explain.

"It's been hours Saron."

"I know. I was changing for the first time. It took hours."

"Really?" he asked, smiling, perking up in interest.

"My friends are going to kill me" I grumbled, unable to stop myself from worrying about their reaction.

"Hey, it's okay. It wasn't your fault. How were you supposed to know how long it would take?"

I smiled at his attempts to reassure me.

"Let's go."

I grabbed his hand and let him lead me out.
