What do you have next?

Saron?

Glancing at the time at the top of my screen, I realized it was now 10:50. How did I lose track of time, yet again?

"Shit. I have class in 10," I blurted out, rushing to leave the math section, towards the forked path to my next class.

"Where are you going?" Zion asked, following me.

"I have History next," I said, quickly glancing at my phone to see it was now 10:54.

"You're going to be late."

"You think?" I returned, sarcastically.

"I'll get you there on time," he said stepping in front of me, blocking my path.

I laughed dryly, looking at him in shock at how absurd he sounded.

"How? By getting in my way?" I responded, trying to maneuver around him.

"Grab my hand."

"What?"

"Just grab it."

I grabbed his hand to appease him hoping he would remove himself from my path so I could run to class because at this point I'd never make it walking.

I blinked and next thing I knew I was in front of the building of my class with Zion huffing beside me. I pulled out my phone to check the time. 10:55 AM.

"What? How did you-"

"Vampire speed. Get to class," he ordered, nudging me forward before walking away. Vampires are fast enough to travel that fast in a matter of seconds? I walked into the building, towards my class, my mind still trying to grasp what had happened. My phone lit up with another text, this time from an unknown number. Curious, I stopped and opened it up.

Get to class or you'll really be late

Zion? How did he- When did he get my number? I scanned my eyes around my surroundings but came up empty. I focused my eyes to better visualize my surroundings, and suddenly everything around me got clearer. I could see the whole section like it was a blueprint, and even the surrounding ones. I could see the students quickly moving to and from their classes. I focused my thoughts on him and suddenly, I found him walking inside the orange section where I had come from. How could I see everything around me in detail? How was I able to sense and find him when I was nowhere near him? What more could I do that I didn't know of.

"Students, get to class," a nearby teacher barked at a group of students huddled, laughing. They scattered like mice, reminding me to get going as well. I glanced down at my phone, now 10:59. I picked up my pace rushing to my class, barely getting there on time. I walked in to find myself in a smaller room with barely 30 kids and every seat filled except one, at the very front. I scowled at my luck, sinking into it quickly. An elderly woman with a cane walked in a few seconds after me slamming her cane into the ground, quieting the chatter of the students and redirecting the attention towards her. She pulled out a paper, reading off names of people in the class for attendance. She called out a few names before calling out mine.

"Amy?"

I swung around in horror as I heard Amy's voice reply, "Present."

As soon as she caught my eye, her cheeriness faded into a look of pure hate. Not only did I get a front seat, I was stuck in class with Amy. I groaned, sinking deeper in the seat wishing I could disappear altogether.

"Thank you to everyone who showed up. I am Miss White. In this class, you will learn about our history and our beginnings. I do not tolerate absence. The two students who aren't here have failed my class. If you are present and you listen, you will pass. I do not tolerate-," she prattled on listing the dos and don'ts. I found my mind wandering so I didn't catch most of it.
