Between Kenji's lip popping and the urging twitch in my body from choking him right there, my thoughts went back to Blue, the raptor, Oh let me go back to a few hours ago

*two hours ago*

Darius was deciding on what we should do while I search around for an escape route "Darius, tell me you have something in mind?"

He stumbles on his words, he doesn't know what he's doing, this is so dangerous but happily heart-racing. "It's okay, it's okay, we're all okay. Kenji, Janae, search through those bones and check for a raptor skull"

Come again, a raptor skull? Kenji was just as confused as me "In the video game I-"

"We are in a real-life situation, Darius, this is not a video game" Before he could finish his sentence, he trips over the bones and we all hurriedly step backward until our backs hit the cold wall

I was stuck in between the two boys rethinking about all of this "Papa Bondye, tanpri, ede nou..." I started praying in my native language when the bright lights came on

"Hey come and get it" A voice yells out as several raw lumps of meat were dropped from the balcony, it got the attention of most of the raptors except for the blue streaked one. Its attention was fully on us, wait, that raptor looks very familiar but my thoughts were cut off when a hand pulls me back out of the enclosure hard

"Dave thank you so much, we are so grateful," Darius said as we all stand up and take a breather, that just happened, we were almost eaten by a velociraptor, awesome!!!

"Oh, that's standard procedure, Darius. I do that kind of stuff all the time, one second" Dave bends over to throw up and it was chunky, I pat his back for support, that's not a pleasant sight

"Is everyone alright?" Roxie asks all of us and as I nod my head, Kenji tries to sneak away but Roxie catches him in time "Where do you think you're going? You three are in big trouble"

"Us? But he was the on-" My words were cut off by a very pissed off Roxie turning to me and Darius "Save it! We'll decide what to do with you later if you even get to remain here after a stunt like this"

Everyone started their way to jump as the gate to the enclosure closed slowly. My eyes met the raptors directly, now I know why it looks familiar, it's Blue, the one raptor trained by Mr. Owen. Dave calls my name and I climb in the back seat along with Brooklyn, Darius, and Kenji

Now back to the present

"How could you do something so stupid?" Darius scolds Kenji, to be honest, I would do the same thing if my body wasn't still in its shocking phase

"I do a lot of stupid things so you'll have to be more specific. Girls love a grand gesture, junior. You'll understand when you're older, ain't that right, Jay-Dog?"

"Shoot then I might as well be a boy because what you did was pretty stupid"

"Ok, maybe it wasn't my best idea. Look, I don't want to get kicked out either when my dad.." Uh oh, I think I know where this is going. "My whole life, I've been trying to make him proud. If he finds out I messed up again, he might finally give up on me for good"

Now that he explained it more, his story upset me. What if he's really a good person but makes a questionable decision for everyone else's approval?

Dave comes bursting through the door and stood right in front of us "We gave Brooklyn a warning for sneaking out but what you three chuckleheads did-"
