Whatever It Takes

The kids looked up in the air, staring at the helicopters surrounding them. "Yes, yes, yes! We're saved!" Kenji shouted. Janae furrowed her eyebrows together, these helicopters aren't marked "Wait Kenji!" Darius yelled after him, Janae followed

Kenji revved the engine so that the boat could start but Darius turned it off just in time "I'm not exactly getting good guy vibes, Kenj" He says. The rest of the kids came in "Yeah, unmarked chopper, big, scary guns..." Yaz started to name a few things

"Oh I'm sorry, what would you bring to rescue kids from an island full of killer dinosaurs? Cake? A get-well card?" Kenji pointed out. "I mean he does have a point" Ben blurted out. Thunder rumbled and lightning struck. Sammy cowards in fear "I mean the sea is pretty rough"

"All right then. We take our chances with the people in the helicopter?" Darius asked the group. They all collectively looked at each other before nodding. Darius lifts his hand off the lever, which allows Kenji to start the boat again. Janae looked in the opposite direction then looked at the helicopters. If they're rescuing us, why didn't they just lower a ladder down? She thought

As soon as they reached the dock, the helicopters lowered themselves to the ground. The kids walked through the blowing wind and rain, a man gets out of the helicopter to check the area. "What are you kids doing out here?" The man asked

"Long story! Too long!" Sammy responded. One by one, the man helped the kids onto the helicopter. Only Darius, Yaz, Brooklyn, and Janae left. All of a sudden, heavy thuds rumbled to the ground. Janae stumbled, wondering what could that be? Finally, it stopped but that didn't stop her fear. Standing in front of them was Rexy, where did she come from?

"Oh no," Janae mumbled. The helicopter started to lift off the ground, leaving the soldier and the four kids. "Wait stop!" Janae called out for the pilot. Rexy got ahold of the helicopter but the pilot gave enough power to yank the bottom of the helicopter out of Rexy's mouth before flying away

"Hey, wait! Stop!" But before the soldier could get on the helicopter, Rexy appeared behind him, just before she swallowed him whole. "Wait!" Brooklyn yelled. Ben panicked from above "You can't just leave them! Go back!" But they were far too out

"Run!" The four remaining kids took off once they got the chance. They dashed into the jungle with Rexy close behind them. Up in the sky, Kenji, Sammy, and Ben were shocked about what just happened "Why did you just leave them there?" Sammy asks the pilot

"To keep us alive! You're welcome" The pilot responded. Kenji crossed his arms "You aren't thanked!" Ben huffed and puffed "We should have stayed on the boat!" Now, what are they going to do?

"November Echo 7-6-5, there was an attack. I have three kids on board. Hansen's...gone. Heading to the rendezvous point. Over...Hello, do you copy?" The pilot tried to get ahold of someone. At land, the four kids were tired but they never stopped running from Rexy

Janae breathed heavily as she jumps over the log which Rexy crushed afterward. It was hard to see since it was dark and raining. As soon as the kids were out of Rexy's sight, they all went into hiding. Darius hid behind a tree, Brooklyn crouched under a log, Janae hid in some bushes and Yaz hid behind a rock

Yaz listened in fear but what struck her fear, even more, is when Rexy lifted up a log above her head, she's been spotted. Yaz got up to run as Rexy tossed the log over. Yaz fell down a hill onto a walk across a log below a muddy ground, she ran carefully across the waterlog. Rexy attempted to follow her but instead, she made the log fall. Yaz fell to the ground, unable to move from the sight of Rexy's shadow standing above her

Just as Rexy was about to have her second meal, several rocks hit the side of her face. She looks to the side to see Darius, Brooklyn, and Janae carrying rocks in their hands. "This was a horrible idea" Darius mentioned
