Last Day of Camp

"Attention. All park-goers must report to the South Ferry Dock for immediate evacuation, last ferry departs in two hours"

"That's it? No explanations?"

"I guess they were in a hurry," I said before Darius and Kenji comes running towards us "We have to move. the only way we're gonna make it is if we run"

"Are we sure that's the smartest way to do it?"

"I'm fine, I competed with a torn ACL. You should be way more worried about Ben and Bumpy"

"What we should all be worried about is catching a boat out of here and naturally we have a problem. We're here, the docks are on the southern tip of the island. Even if we run at peak speed, there's no way we'll make the last boat out. I memorized the evacuation plan on the ferry ride over" That's actually pretty smart, Ben

"Ok so we need another way, can we use the kayaks somehow or send someone to tell the ferry people to wait?"

"Or make a few jetpacks real quick? We should befriend a unicorn on the way. face it, it's hopeless"

"Or what about the monorail?" I spoke out before they all turned their heads to look at the monorail passing through. "Nicely played, universe"

We all head towards the monorail stairs but when we crossed that corner, trouble came. I step back and my back slides against the wall, Darius was coming from the stands and I warned him to be careful

He peeks over the corner and sees the trouble we were hiding from, Toro. He looks at the stairs and I already knew what he was going to do "Darius, what are you doing?" I whisper to him

He signals us to move forward and he runs to the side of the stairs away from Toro but nobody moves, they were too scared. So I took this opportunity to run, me, Brooks, Kenji, and Sammy started off but we didn't get far

Toro turned around and looked at the wall we were hiding behind. Darius throws a rock the opposite way of us, that distracted Toro and gave us the opportunity to run. We made it to the stairs quickly before Toro came back around

Bumpy makes it to the top first, she is fast for a baby ankylosaurus. I was right behind Brooklyn and Kenji, us three made it to the top and Kenji was about to yell but I covered his mouth before he got to say anything

Toro was right down the stairs, thankfully he didn't see us yet. "Welcome to Jurassic World Lagoon, next stop, Ferry Landing"

I spoke too soon. He spotted us and the others were still on the stairs "Come on, come on" Brooks and I yelled for them

I'm going to probably regret this but I run out of the monorail to help Yaz and Ben. Yaz trips on the stairs but Toro was right behind her, I sprint down the stairs to help her up. Darius got Ben and I got Yaz pulling her up quickly before Toro got her

I put her arm on my shoulder and my arm around her waist to secure us. Toro's big steps kept making the stairs shake, it was difficult to get up but we eventually got to the monorail. In a big hurry, we push our way through but we fall in the process

I fell on top of Bumpy, her little spikes didn't hurt but the ground definitely did. The door closes and the breath I didn't know I was holding in lets go. "No way, something bad always happens when we think we're safe. Watch, the doors are gonna open"

They don't open "Ok well the train's gonna stop because that's how this works"

"I'm pretty sure we're safe now," Brooklyn says walking away from the door. Sitting somewhere close to everyone, I start to think about our adventures "Guys we did it. We're going home"
