Battle Line Pt.2

(this will honestly be a short chapter)

The kids all sprint to the location where Mr. Kon was having his presentation. "We're almost there" Janae said before they were stopped by BRAD-X's. They weren't getting by that easy. "I guess the whole 'The BRAD's are out friends' thing is back off the table" Brooklyn said. 

"Should we try another airlock?" Sammy suggested. "Mr. Kon would've already thought of that. We're running out of time" Darius said. Suddenly, Yaz had a great idea "We don't have to use the airlocks. We can use the food platforms!"

"Great idea, Yaz. Let's go" Janae says. It wasn't long until they found a free food platform, they moved quickly to save the dinosaurs. Soon after, they found the right platform but they were just getting there at the right time

"Oh no, it started" Sammy said. They all rushed to the scene. They hid behind the rocks to cover themselves. "We need to hurry. Split up and be careful." Darius told the group before they had split up

"Stop! Stop all of this!" Janae yelled. "We're gonna disable the chips" Darius shouted. ""Disable the chips?' How did they even- Mae." Mr. Kon growled. "Hey, Don, get these kids out of here or better yet, I will" One of the buyers said

"Trust me, you want to get out of here!" Darius told the buyers. "I could say the same for you two" The buyer made Little Eatie go towards Brooklyn and Darius. "You're gonna have to do a lot better than that" The female buyer spoke

Janae felt huge footsteps behind her. She turned around to see Ben running towards her and the Spinosaurus following behind. Janae and Ben took off running together, the Spinosaurus kept up with them

They went around some trees, trying to delay its running. Ben and Janae easily got away but not for long. "Come on" He whispered, the two hiding from the buyer controlling the Spinosaurus in the bushes. "How is he standing on it like that?" Janae whispered to Ben

"He's a maniac" He whispered back. All of a sudden, Ben had this crazy idea. "Okay, I'm about to do something crazy but you gotta stay put" He told her. Janae furrowed her eyebrows together "What do you mean something crazy?"

Without responding, Ben climbs up the tree silently. "What the hell?" Janae questioned quietly, keeping her position low. She watched as the Spinosaurus came closer, whipping its head around. The buyer felt a leaf falling on his head, he looked up to see a yelling teenager crash onto him while on the dinosaur

Janae gasps, not expecting that. It knocked the buyer off succesfully but Ben was attached to the Spino's head. "Janae, run!" He yelled out. Following his orders, Janae got out of her hiding spot but did a quick detour

She kicked the buyer in the side "Sa se pou prèske touye nou!" She told him in her native language (That's for almost killing us!). She ran away just in time, Ben stuck the chip disabler into the Spino

"Yes!" She proudly clapped him on. But she soon came to a realization "Ah shit" She cursed. The Spino fell to the ground, regaining consciousness. Ben got off of the Spino and quickly ran with Janae "Gotta run. You should too!"

The two teenagers ran away before the real danger started. "Hurry. If we can get to the others, we can help them" Janae said but once they got back to the siting, everyone was gone excluding the Kons and the campers "Are they all-?" Darius questioned

Everyone was dead, Janae thought. Rough footsteps shook the ground, maybe the fight wasn't over? The Spinosaurus came running out of nowhere, heading towards the VIP section. Janae squinted her eyes to see Mr. Kon afraid and a familiar face she hasn't seen in a while

"Chris?" She said. The Spinosaurus ran through the section, leaving debris falling behind it. "Dad! Dad! Chris!" Kenji yelled out. "Here we are" Mr. Kon called out. They were okay, thankfully

"I just got you back and now I almost lost you because of you!" Kenji accused the rest of the campers. Yaz and Janae were livid "We were doing what was right" Darius defended their story. "Look around! Does any of this look right to you?" Kenji asked

Janae's eyes were fixed on Kenji but soon turned to Chris, fixing his tie. He stared daggers at her but that didn't scare her, she stared right back. After everything he has done, she wants to punch him in that sorry, perfect-framed face of his. "Do you kids have any idea what you have done? You ruined us, all of our investors gone!" Mr. Kon spat

"Not all of us" The female buyer stepped out of the debris. "Sorry, I snuck my phone in. My buyer is still on board" She told Mr. Kon "This was a disaster but Biosyn is very interested in your tech. They want to meet. Not here, obviously"

Mr. Kon couldn't believe what he was hearing "Great! Set it up" He said. "What are you going to do about them?" She asked, turning to the campers. "Don't worry. I'll make sure they're not a problem" Mr. Kon spoke

The campers looked at each other worried.

Mr. Kon had the campers locked up in the baby containers back at the pent house. "You're just as bad as Kash" Sammy told him. "Enough. This is for your own good. You've proven you can't be trusted to roam freely" He told them. Mr. Kon, Kenji, and Chris were outside of the container

"Besides, it's only for a few days before we meet our new buyer on Isla Nublar" Mr. Kon announced. Janae widened her eyes. Did I hear that correctly?, Janae thought. "Nublar? Are you seriously going to let that happen?" Darius asked Kenji

"This can't be what you really want, Kenji" Brooklyn raised her hand to put on the glass. "Save it. None of you care what I want. I'm done with you guys" Kenji spoke. That statement shattered everyone's hearts, Sammy especially

"But we're family?" She said sadly. "No you're not. You all went out of your way to prove that today. " He snapped back. Janae stepped up to the glass "A real family will tell you when you're right and wrong. You, Kenji, are wrong"

Kenji didn't say a word after that. He followed Chris and his dad sadly. The campers watched as the doors close on them, leaving them in a quiet, contained room

What will they do now?
