I groan as I open my eyes. We crashed on a big rock on the side of the road "Is everyone okay?" Darius asks us

"Is everyone-" Yaz didn't even finish her sentence, she chuckled out of anger and slammed the door on her way out

Moving around and hopping out of the van, my shoulder was in pain. I move it around to make it feel better but it doesn't work. Kenji looks over to me and notices my pain, he puts my arm over his shoulder to keep mines leveled

"We're not okay. We're in the middle of a jungle with a monster dinosaur out there and you-"

"Destroyed our only way to get help and lied about it! I told you guys, she was probably trying to erase my video of her taking those samples from the Sinoceratops. And you knew about the Indominus Rex because you were snooping around Dr. Wu's office when I ran into you, you had me thinking Janae stole my phone, I'm so sorry Janae" Brooklyn apologizes to me

"It's okay Brooklyn, I'm sorry too"

"But I didn't mean to break it, it broke when the zipline fell down and-"

"But you did steal it? You had it that whole time and didn't tell us?"

"Hold up. What were you doing in Dr. Wu's office, Brooklyn?" Yeah, what was she doing if she saw Sammy in there? "It doesn't matter, I didn't break our only way to call for help and lie about it! This is not my fault! This is her fault!"

"I'm here to spy for a company called Mantah Corp"

"Mantah Corp? Isn't that the bioengineering company that's rivals with Masrani?" I ask around and Darius nods his head "They tried to make dinosaurs too but Wu beat them to it"

"You doomed us all for some lousy company?"

"Our ranch was in trouble so my folks had to borrow a lot of money from shady people. We didn't know they were fronting for Mantah Corp, they said we'd lose everything unless I spied for them. Use the behind-the-scenes I'd get at camp to gather info from Wu's lab, and DNA from dinos, and whatever else they needed. But then Brooklyn caught on, and I got scared, and then everything went wrong. This is the last thing I wanted to happen"

"Oh really, to be next to a broken van on Killer Dinosaur Island? Hey, me, too! What are the odds? Was it all a lie, wanting to be friends? Pretending you cared about... You just needed someone to hide what you were doing, tell me I'm wrong?"

Sammy just stands there bawling her eyes out, now I'm starting to feel bad for her. She was doing this for family, I know how that feels. Yaz says something to Sammy which makes her run away

"Look I know the situation we're in is suboptimal but despite the obvious trashitude, we need to-" Ben didn't get to finish his sentence because the Indominus emerges from the trees

But it wasn't coming at us, what was going on? Up above was a helicopter shooting at the Indominus "Masrani's helicopter! That's his call sign on the tail"

We follow Masrani and the Indominus and we end up close to a sphere looking building "Yeah! Kick his butt, Masrani! We're saved, yeah baby"

But the celebration ended when Masrani crashes into the building along with the helicopter which makes a huge explosion. Something comes out of the hole and I squint my eyes to get a good look at the flying dino- it's a Pterodactyl!!

"We gotta take cover"

"The Kayak River! The entrance is near here, it goes underground, beneath the ridge. If we follow it, it'll take us right to the main park"

"Then there's no time to waste, come on" Running as fast as I can, the group runs under the trees to avoid being seen by the Pterodactyls. We finally made it inside and closed the door on the Pterodactyl that was still chasing us
