I was in the captain's area, sorting out the medicine. Let's see Advil, Aleve, Zurtex... "Psst Janae" I hear someone call my name, it sounded like Darius "Yeah?" I peek over the railing "Can you come to help me with this?" He holds up this lunch tray

"Sure" I put down the medicine to go help, Darius. Once I got there, he held up the tray for me to stick on "There! Now it's sticking"

Then there was silence "So um how are you?" He asks me

"I'm great, you?"

"Great" Yeah this is too awkward. Usually, Darius and I would have something to talk about "Janae, please come and help your...thing" Yaz calls out my name

Darius and I walked over there to see what was the problem now. "Same diff. Like my dad always says, 'If you've got a problem, throw cash at it'" Kenji leans against the crates behind him

"That sounds like terrible logic" I cross my arms, standing next to Yaz. "I agree with Janae, that doesn't like a solution. Do you know what you get when you feed a pigeon?"

"A fat pigeon?"

"Ugh no idiot, more pigeons" Yaz points in front of us. Our pigeon problem turned out to be a Compy problem as more Compies made their way towards us "Well then it's a good thing I'm rich. Here you go, money! money! money!"

Kenji kept tossing dimes, nickels, quarters, any coin you could think of to the Compies, making more and more come. But when I looked to my right, a Compy right behind Darius got a hold of the compass "She has the compass!" I tried to grab it but she runs away

"Get that compy!" We chased her down as soon as we entered the jungle. Ben and Bumpy were coming back from their walk "Ben, take Bam-Bam out and about. Please and thank you, bye!"

This Compy is running so fast. Compared to either me and Yaz, Yaz was the one who was closest to the Compy more than me "Come here little Compy!" I almost had her but she really broke my ankles, my feet slide across the grass as she heads the opposite way

"Come on slowpokes!"

"Yaz, we all can't be track stars" Where is this Compy going? She's going places, not to us but places. She ducks under branches, bushes, trees then all of a sudden, she disappears. "Anyone see where she went?"

When I was going to look for her, something caught my eye. I don't believe it, it's right here in front of me "Darius?" I call out his name

Hearing his footsteps rapidly coming, I didn't even look at him " Guys, do you know where we are? This is where it all began, Welcome to Jurassic Park" He questions, the original Jurassic Park welcome center

"Nuh-uh. No way we are going in there, I hear that this place is haunted. Bad things happened here"

"Haunted really? As opposed to the rest of this island?"

"Exactly" The way it was abandoned leaves me with so many questions and my questions need to be answered "We need that compass. Please talk some sense into him"

"Darius is right. Jurassic Park isn't haunted, it's cursed" Yaz tries to convince Kenji to go in but I don't think it's working "Darius, you asked the wrong person to convince Kenji"

"Legend has it that the original park owner broke his ankle here and then was eaten alive by Compies!"

"That's not true, John Hammond died of natural causes. Where did you hear this from?"

"Off the web. I'm kind of obsessed with theme park deaths"

"No way, you are too? I'm obsessed with the Disneyland deaths that happen. The one where there are ashes spread around Sleeping Beauty's castle?"
