Eye of the Storm

*From now on, I'm going to tell this story in 3rd person. I'm trying something out*

Instead of going back to the boat, the kids decided to stay at camp to gather up some more supplies. Yaz went on a run to calm herself, Sammy and Brooklyn were still gone on their little adventure, Ben and the two dinosaurs are nowhere to be found so it's just Janae, Kenji, and Darius at camp

Janae found some of her hair products in one of the bags here from her first time on Isla Nublar, she was very indecisive but ended up doing some jumbo box braids with her real hair, it was pretty hard to do them without any mirrors but she pulled through

Kenji and Darius were talking on the lower level just talking to each other. In Janae's mind, this might be the last time they'll spend time together. It was pretty silent for the most part before she heard the ladder shake a little bit from downstairs "Thanks Kenji, you are a real lifesaver, make sure you pack everything. Food, water, and everything else. You sure you got this?" She hears Darius's voice getting more distant by the second

"I got this bro, don't worry"

"Ok I'm leaving you in charge, you're the best" After that, the entrance gate closes. Janae wondered where Darius went. She was finally done with her hair so she decided to check on the supplies they have now. The medicine is already on the boat, Sammy packed up some blankets and hygienic stuff...she snaps her fingers in excitement, before the whole Mitch and Tiff incident, Bam-Bam and Janae had a stash of Chef Boyradee's ravioli at the old redwood tree

The tree wasn't too far from here, she should be fine. Janae took a bag with her to stash everything in there. As she made her way downstairs, she sees Kenji dancing to himself "Kenji is in charge, Kenji is in charge" He whispered

She just looked out of embarrassment, this is what I'm in love with, she thought. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ben staring at Kenji with a questionable look on his face "Uh Kenji?" She call out for him. Her comment surprised him which made him jump back, taking a look at Ben and Janae

"What are you doing?"

"I need you to go find toilet paper because Darius left me in charge" Janae found that hard to believe that Darius would leave Kenji in charge. Ben just shrugged it off "Okay" Just like that, he left

"Kenji, I'm stepping out for a little bit. I just remembered that Bam-Bam and I stored some food back at the old redwood tree, I'll be back soon" Just as soon as she puts her foot on the ladder, Kenji pulls her back "Let me come with you"

"No, Darius left you in charge. I'll be back, don't worry, I have the other walkie-talkie. This time, it's channel 5" Janae went down the ladder to go find the rest of the food. It hasn't even been a minute before the walkie-talkie rings "Are you okay?" Kenji asks

"Kenji it hasn't even been 30 seconds after I walked away, you can still see me from the camp. I'm fine. Call me if you need anything, pack the rest of the stuff up"

"Ok, just be careful"

"I'm always careful" As Janae walked through the jungle, she noticed that the clouds started to get a little dark, a storm was coming, she better hurry. Janae picked up the pace a little bit, searching for the redwood tree "Come on, come on, I know you're out here"

The jungle sang to her while she made her journey, little Compies followed her with their eyes, watching Janae's every movement. Finally, the tree came up into her view, it still looked in place "Yes!" Janae pumped her fist in the air. She ran at full speed inside looking around, while they were there, Bam-Bam made a dirt patch to hide the food

Janae dug her fingers into the dirt, moving it out of the way. The ravioli popped right up from its spot "One...two...three...four..." She continued to count how many cups were hidden, her final count came around 7. That should be enough for everyone, she thought
