Normal POV
Should I not have given him the signal just now? Did I attract too much attention? Is this alright? I battled with my thoughts in my head while looking out the window. The team below was wrapping things up; the guests had already left and Kuroo and the rest were doing their cooldowns. I began packing my stuff up too. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary today.
I stayed back later than usual today because I just saw the teacher in charge go into the tent to lock up. I might've jinxed myself because half an hour later, after most of the team had left, another unknown student came up to the tent while the teacher was still inside. Who was that? I've never seen him hanging around the gardening club before. I squinted my eyes, trying to see what they're doing. When both of them walked out of the tent, I saw it - a packet of drugs right before the student slipped it into his pocket. I gasped and ran downstairs.
On my way down the stairs, I crashed into Kuroo. "Hey, what's wrong?" I heard him say but I didn't have the time to answer. I hurriedly pushed my bag into his arms and flew out of the gym door. I puffed in the winter air, trying to grasp my surroundings. I finally located the student and he was just about to cycle out of school. When I ran to the school entrance, he was already several meters ahead of me. I didn't train my sprints for nothing. Time to put practice into good use now, Amber.
I took a deep breath and ran after him. He was cycling fast, but not fast enough to get out of my sight. My legs pumped as my vision barely scanned the surroundings. It was the neighborhood where Kuroo and Kenma and I first officially met. Was I right about the area? I panted as I slowed to a jog. Damn it, where did he go? There were so many turns around here. My breath irritated me as I tried to look around. It was so cold, I forgot my winter coat back at the gym. I shivered against my will as my body cooled down after the sprint.
Then, I spotted him. He had walked out from one of the shops across the street ahead of me. I couldn't see clearly from which shop but his pockets were now empty and he was making his way back. Desperate to see who he was from the front view, I started to jog forward toward him. He began cycling and I gasped, I had to catch up to him. I took a step out on the road and I immediately regretted it. From the corner of my eye, the blinding lights of a car came at me and I felt stuck. My eyes shot wide as I braced myself for the impact.
I felt something warm engulf my body. I felt pain but... not the pain I was expecting. I opened my eyes and I forgot how to breathe.

Kuroo's POV
I glanced up to the second floor to see Kageyama Amber still there. That was surprising. She would normally leave a few minutes before the club activity ends. Was she changing her schedule? Kenma joined up beside me and he nodded his head in her direction. I blinked at his actions and smirked, surprised at his indication. I turned towards the stairs in the gym and I wanted to thank her for just now.
Halfway up the stairs, she came crashing down on me. We didn't fall, but we had a big stumble. "Hey, what's wrong?" I managed to grab onto her waist and asked. Her waist was small, soft to my touch. I quickly released her, missing her touch almost immediately. She didn't give a reply, pushed her bag into my arms and bolted off outside. I have a bad feeling about this. I quickly joined up with Kenma, who was standing outside. "I'll call you later, hold these," I said before I ran after her. "Kuro!!" Kenma whined behind me.
Damn, she's so fast? I never took her for a runner, and I saw her at the bottom of the slope running towards town. She was sprinting - her hair flowed behind her like a never-ending stream of darkness. Her flushed face contrasted against the pale street lights. Her eyes had an unsettling focus dead ahead of her that made my heart leap, not knowing why it did. Yamamoto's words came flashing back to me, "her legs! Oh man, her legs are to die for!"
