As Jason and I reached home he parked his car at the usual place. However, beside his car was parked another distinct one which I recognised as Finn's.

"What's Finn doing here again?" Jason asked being a tad bit harsh.
"I know as much as you do," I replied. Instead of getting out of the car both of us, unconsciously, sat there for a minute. I was trying to push back the talk with Finn while Jason just sat back for a reason that I could not decipher.

"You know that Finn has feelings for you right?" Jason asked breaking the silence that was once prevailing.

"What?" I almost shrieked as yet another bomb dropped on me.

"Are you for real? You are telling that you haven't noticed anything?" Jason asked with surprise.

"What should I notice?" I inquired.
"His behaviour around you. Duh!" Jason added while doing a funny movement which involved his hands and shoulders.

"Why do you think Finn attacked me in the first place last Thursday?" Jason asked me as he saw my confused face.

"That's not possible," I added not believing it.
"Think what you want to think but I'm always right," Jason stated with full confidence.
"I'm almost sure that you're wrong though," I told Jason as I got out of the car rather indignantly. He followed in pursuit, shrugged his shoulders and walked off to the house.

Jason and his believes. There was no way it was possible.
The assumption that he just made cannot be true.

Or can it?

I forced myself to think that it was not true and got inside to greet Finn who had come to our house without informing.

"Hey Vianna. I didn't know you were out. Livia let me in," Finn said as I got inside. He was sitting on the couch in the living room and was going through his phone when I entered.

"Yeah I had some work that needed to be done," I replied.

"So what brings you here?" I asked and sat on the couch facing him.
"Vianna are you okay? You seemed a little off today," Finn stated.
"Yes Finn. I'm alright. Thanks for asking though," I added.

"Weren't you all supposed to hang out at Thea's place now?" I questioned Finn.
"Yeah. I just came from there. I was going home and thought of meeting you beforehand," he said smiling.

"I actually came here to talk about something," Finn said without further delay.
"Go on."
"Dad was somehow proven innocent and he was bailed out of jail in the morning," Finn began.

I knew that piece of information because I had seen his father at the ice-cream parlour. However, I waited for him to say something else instead of just throwing the bomb in his face.

"He was apparently in a relationship with someone and she was the one who managed to bail him out," Finn added.

"Did you know about this?" I asked Finn.
"No. Dad just told me this in the morning," Finn added heaving a sigh.

"How are you handling it?" I inquired sounding pitiful.
"I don't know how I should react to it. I mean since mom and dad divorced he was never in a relationship with someone else. Now all of a sudden he tells me that he is in love with a woman and is apparently in a serious relationship as well," Finn expounded.

I went and sat beside Finn to envelope him in a hug.
"Meet her once and see if you like her or not," I said.
"She seemed nice," I added at once.

"Wait how do you know that?" Finn interrogated me.

"I saw your father kissing the secret woman today when I had went out today," I explicated.
"Oh! Well I hope she's nice. She'll be my step mother after all," Finn stated and chuckled.

"Tell your father that you want to meet her," I declared.
"Yeah. I think I'll," Finn said.

"It seems weird you know. Seeing dad with someone who's not my mother," Finn added sadly.
"Your parents separated for a reason and you'll definitely be sad but you have to be strong Finn," I said.
"Yeah I know," he said.

"Thanks Vianna. When I first heard it, I was devastated but now I'm a little better. Talking to you always helps me a lot," Finn stated.
"Anytime," I smiled looking at him.

"And also I'm sorry again for the commotion last Thursday. I was out of my mind," Finn began to say but I stopped him midway.
"Finn I know you didn't mean anything. It's alright," I assured.

"I should apologise to Jason though," Finn said while scratching his forehead in a tensed way.
"I can tell him that you're sorry. Or do you want to tell him yourself?" I asked.
"I think I should be the one to tell him that," Finn said. His joking tone made me chuckle.

I called Jason downstairs and both the boys shook their hands. Finn was genuinely sorry and Jason said that it was alright but I could sense the subtle humour in Jason's voice even though Finn was oblivious.

"Did he come all the way over here just to tell sorry? He could have done that with a simple phone call," Jason told me once when Finn was gone.

"No it was more than that," I added not giving in much.

"I'm almost certain that there wasn't much that couldn't have been done over the phone. He practically stayed for only a handful of minutes; might as well have saved his fuel," Jason stated with a straight face.

"Come on Jason. Why do you not like him?" I asked him while chuckling.
"I have my reasons," he added at once and left.

That night, Livia made dinner and we all had it together. Following that we did our mundane chores of cleaning the table and went upstairs to our own rooms once all of it was done. Once in my room, I immediately went to bed and waited till I drifted away in my sleep. It was a little early but I was tired from the ordeal of the whole day.

The whole day, I had struggled to keep the thoughts of Reese and my family out of my mind. Even though it was hard, the whole process was easier than I had assumed. The main reason being Jason and his presence.
