--------------------"It was far too long ago for me to remember the day or year. They didn't keep that then. At first we were angry, then sad. Finally we settled into a life on the Middle Plain. Earth to humans. We were worshiped by most and indulged in the pleasures we'd been denied as angels. Experienced every sin we'd been told not to do. Found the joys of humanity so to say.
"Back then there were no demons. That was something Morningstar created later. But even though we enjoyed what Earth offered it never felt like home. We were constantly on the move.
"We reached New York December of 1983. It was the first time we'd been back since 1880. We started into our party ways instantly. Seeing women, indulging in drinking. Our usual routine. We went out partying one night and didn't leave until the next morning around seven or so. We were taking a shortcut through Central Park when we spotted a group of school girls." Frank let out a small laugh and shook his head. "Lucas started going on about how he could get all of them to go on a date with him. Challenge set, we moved to talk to them." Frank smiled as he took Monika's hand in his. "Three were wrapped around his little finger in two minutes. The last though, kept watching me." Monika smiled as she leaned into him.
"I couldn't help it. I thought he was the most gorgeous thing I'd seen. I'm surprised I was able to talk to him without stuttering."
"Gross." Stacy muttered when Frank kissed Monika.
"I was surprised she wasn't all over Lucas. But happy. Mostly because I thought I'd met another angel. She knew what playboys we were though and kept refusing dates. Said we'd be better friends. But the more I got to know her the harder I feel. I wanted her. Not just her body, but I wanted her to love me. I did everything. Broke up with the girls I was seeing, stopped drinking and going out to parties. None of it would get her to accept a date though.
"Lucas had more fun with it. He always pointed out her age and would rub in that to humans I couldn't have her until she was 18. But I still asked her to marry me. Figured I could wait, as long as I knew she'd be mine after it all."
"Long story short," Monika started.
"Too late." Stacy muttered.
"We got married when I was 16. I told my parents I was pregnant since I didn't want to wait. Mom flipped and started planning the wedding the next hour."
"Right. So, fallen angel." Stacy said as she pointed to her father. Anything to get them to move on. As much as she'd loved the story as a kid, that wasn't the focus of her current thoughts.
Frank and Monika both shook their heads. "When I married your mother I told her everything."
"The part that stood out was that he didn't age."
"I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to stay the way I was and watch your mother slowly die. I got lucky though. I met another angel one day. She told me if I removed my wings I'd become mortal. At least in the sense that I would start to age and eventually die."
"He didn't even talk to me about it. Came home one day to the smell of burned flesh and feathers down the hall. Blood all over the garage. I about passed out."
Frank shook his head a little. "After she got over the shock she yelled at me for three hours because I could've killed myself." he said with a laugh.
"So, angel," Stacy pointed to her father. "Human," she pointed to her mother. "Nephilim?" she pointed to herself.
"Yes." Frank said with a nod. "I still have my powers, though I'm not allowed to use them without them backfiring on me because I removed my wings."
