The weeks that followed weren't exactly the best between her parents. They hardly spoke. Her father had taken to sleeping in Stacy's room since Monika had kicked him out of theirs. That was until she decided to start taking it apart for a nursery. Last she'd heard he'd been demoted to the couch. Stacy of course was worried about her parents, though she doubted they'd divorce. They loved each other too much for something like that. But with them not talking, everything was just being swept under the rug. Lucas had seen how much the whole situation was wearing on her and had started taking her out just about everything night when she wasn't working. She was thankful for the distraction. It was because of this she was seeing a different side of him, more of the real Lucas and his personality and not what he tried to put out for the world to see. He was sweet, caring, and attentive. It was still shocking to her and she found herself growing closer to him, which probably wasn't the best idea.

That night he'd invited her to the townhouse again. For a chick flick of all things. She'd laughed when he'd told her he wanted to watch Water for Elephants with her. When she arrived the twins were leaving. They'd chuckled as they left. Stacy found Lucas making popcorn and pulled two cans of the coke from the fridge. "Evening," Stacy said with a smile. "Popcorn huh?"

"Yes, with extra butter. Here." he smiled as he held out the glass for her before lifting his own and the popcorn bowl. "Let's get this torture over with." he said as he started into the living room.

"Torture? Then maybe we should watch a slasher?"

"No, I know you don't want to," he dropped onto the couch, patting the seat next to himself. Stacy smiled as she sat next to him, raising a brow when he draped an arm over her shoulder and dragged her into his side. "Okay, let's do this." he clicked the TV on and pressed play when the movie menu appeared. Stacy found herself cuddled into Lucas' side eating popcorn as she watched the movie. She was so engrossed she didn't even notice the appearance of the man until he spoke.

"Lucas," they both jumped and turned, Stacy staring a little wide eyed at the muscled, tattoo covered man glaring down at them. "You were supposed to come back today and finish some work," there was a growl to his voice as he spoke. "You're slacking off again."

"Hello to you too, Demetrious. I was going to go tomorrow."

"This can't wait until tomorrow, Father." there was a slight sneer to his voice at the last word. As if saying it took everything he had.

Lucas narrowed his eyes, a sigh leaving him as he turned toward her. "I'm sorry. I'll only be a couple minutes. I promise." he said as he kissed her, a smile forming at her stunned look. Stacy frowned when both of them suddenly disappeared.

Stacy turned to paused the movie, a small sigh leaving her. Well, it wasn't so much that their date had been interrupted or that Lucas had left her. No, she was okay with that since they'd been seeing each other constantly for the last few weeks. It was where they stood. Were they a couple? Or just dating friends? She couldn't bring herself to talk to Lucas about it though. Not with their history. What if he flat out told her they weren't dating? She didn't know if she could handle something like that. Not after spending so much time together and starting to feel for him. She just couldn't find out they were nothing but friends. Or worse.

She needed clarity in the whole situation, had been thinking that for the last week. But bringing it up to him had been so hard. How awkward would it have been to ask him? She felt like they were in limbo though. Dating like a normal couple with nothing happening anywhere else in their relationship. If that's what it was.
