Megan let out a breath when they stepped out of the forest onto the main road of a 'town'. Though the word was generous. The place had a gas station, diner, and a grocery mart that was smaller than the diner. Megan moved forward, leading the way to the diner. Once inside an older woman led them to a booth while Megan slipped to the back to find an old payphone. After having to dig through her pockets and then go ask the others she scrounged up enough change to call Stacy's cell. "Hello?"

Megan breathed a sigh of relief when Stacy answered. "You're okay. Thank Gods."

"Megan! Oh gods. I've been so worried. People were talking about the church and then angels started showing up. Lucas is helping my parents pack up. He's sending us to a safe house."

"We're safe," Megan looked down, hating that she was lying, but not wanting to worry Stacy. "Allen is with us, but it's too late. His mentor Edmund was the demon. Stacy, I need to talk to Lucas. It's urgent."

"I...okay, just a sec."

Megan listened as the sounds of move movement came over the phone, a few whispered words and then Lucas. "Hello."

"Lucas, I need to talk to Morningstar."

Lucas was silent a long moment before a sigh left him. "You don't know how many questions I have right now, but I have a feeling it'll take too long."

"Yes. Short version. Allen's mentor is the demon, Daniels' been kidnapped and there's going to be war. I need to talk to Morningstar."

Lucas gave a small snort. "Yeah, sounds like. Even a Nephilim, fully trained, couldn't stop this. Okay, there's a harbor on Honolulu called Ala Wai Harbor. He's been staring there lately, but he does move around. The dragons will have to fly you if you don't want to take a few extra days."

"I thought...Nevermind, another time. Thanks Lucas."

"Just be careful."

"Always." Megan hung up before he could say anything and hurried back to their table in the dining area. "So, we're going to Hawaii. Might as well fly there since for the time being hiding isn't a priority."

"Agreed. Do you know where?" Dellan asked, frowning at Allen who'd started to stir what looked like a tenth packet of sugar into his coffee.

"Honolulu. Allen, that's a lot of sugar."

"It's strong coffee," Allen grumbled, turning his eyes to Megan. "Edmund's probably gone into hiding for a while. Until he gets his army ready he'll avoid any places I might remember."

"Not surprising," Megan sighed as she sat. "So...you're going to really help us?"

"Yes. I'll kill the bastard for doing what he did to my mother." Allen's hands tightened on his mug as he glared at his coffee.

"Well, now that we know where we're going, we better leave."

The others nodded in agreement as Megan stood, moving with her to the door. Allen paused to drop a five on the table and turned to hurry after them. They'd barely reached the edge of the parking lot when the wind picked up. Megan gasped out, arms going up to protect her face as dirt whipped up around them. When the wind died just as abruptly, Megan dropped her arms eyes going wide at the sight that greeted her.

The angel that stood before them was just tucking his wings when her sight cleared. His black hair lay windblown around his face. Black wings settled against his back as piercing blue eyes glared them down. Megan instantly thought he was a fallen, having always been told angel's wings blackened if an angel fell. He face must have reflected her thoughts, or her pointed look at his wings.
