--------------------Stacy woke to Greg cuddled into her back, and a heavenly smell coming from the kitchen below. Turning she frowned at the clock, staring for a moment before she started to drag herself from the bed. Lucas had ended up bringing her home late. She was a bit surprised her mother had let her sleep until one though. Yawning Stacy shuffled from the room leaving Greg to sleep as she moved downstairs. In the kitchen she found her mother putting bread on the stove. "Oh good, you're finally awake. You can help me clean for tonight."
"Tonight?" Stacy covered another yawn.
"Your brother is coming! Now hurry. Your father is already out working on the yard."
Stacy hesitated before rolling her eyes as she turned. "Mom, really? He saw the house before you cleaned."
"This is different. We know he's coming now." she hissed as she followed after Stacy. "You start on the living room. I'll go get Greg up and dressed." Monika smiled as she started up the stairs.
Stacy rolled her eyes as she moved toward the living room. "Of course you get the easy job." she muttered as she started to pick up Greg's toys when the screaming started. Stacy stared at the stairs for a moment before she started laughing. "I take that back. She gave me the easy job." she snickered as she worked on getting his toys put away. She'd just finished vacuuming when a recently bathed Greg came stomping down the stairs with a pout. He froze in the living room entrance, a frown in place when he found his toys missing. He stood stunned until he found them in a basket in the corner of the room. "No!" Stacy snapped when he started to reach for one. "No Greg. I just cleaned. You can play in the bedroom." she said as she lifted the basket.
"Toys." he whined as he reached for her leg and tried to keep up with her.
Stacy shook her head as she stet the basket down in her room, Greg all but pouncing on his toys and frowning up at her as he pulled them out. "Not my rules." she said with a small shrug as she started to move back downstairs. Stacy found her mother scrubbing the powder room top to bottom. "What time is he coming? You only told me he was coming for dinner."
"Six-thirty." Monika said as she stood and wiped her forehead with her sleeve.
"Well it's almost three. Why don't you go shower and I'll finish up and then get dad inside." Monika hesitated before stepping out of the bathroom and pulled her pink gloves off, leaving them with her water bucket.
"I guess." she muttered, glancing as Stacy as she moved toward the stairs. "What about you getting ready?'
"After you." she waved her mother off, smiling as she shook her head and moved to finish cleaning and set the dinner table. When she was done she moved to the back door, watching her father rack the last of the newly mowed grass into a bag. "Dad, you need to come in and get ready."
Frank looked up from the yard bag, giving a nod. "Kay. Be in, in a minute." Stacy watched him disappear around the side of the garage. With a sigh she, moved upstairs to check on Greg where she found the toddler sucking his thumb and clutching a bear to his chest glued to the movie playing on the TV. Stacy snickered a little, shaking her head as she moved to sit next to him. When her mother came to watch Greg, Stacy hurried off to shower and dress. When she emerged she found her mother had migrated Greg downstairs and was stunned at the sight that greeted her. The twins sat playing a game with Greg while Lucas and her father sat glaring at each other.
Stacy rolled her eyes as she stepped into the living room. "When are you two going to get over this? And why are you here Lucas?"
"Never." Frank had muttered in reply to her first question.
