Carisa had been left to sleep in a separate room as the alaois took control of the situation. The backup that had been called had arrived and were sweeping the area clean of any infected insight.

Nothing would be able to get past them at this rate. But Amite looked at the alaois working in keeping the camp safe, then looked at the woods. She could see the eyes of the creatures from where she stood. They weren't running in like all the rest, they were instead just looking, like studying the movements.

Amite walked forwards standing right before the walls before getting on top of a vehicle and continuing to look towards them. Her hand being grabbed all of a sudden made her turn, clenching her fist about to hit whatever touched her.

Stopping when seeing Ezhno's concerned expression, "S... sorry." She apologized, "What's wrong?"

"I've been calling you." He said getting up on the vehicle with her,  "What are you looking at?" He followed her gaze to see the creatures, "What the-"

"They've been watching us for a while now... they're not acting out... this is worse than we imagined." Amite spoke, "Antiope was right, this place needs to be wiped before we fall along with the infection."

"Yeah but Fallyn isn't really up for it yet. The other commander is letting them continue as it is." Ezhno mentioned crossing his arms, "Vasin hasn't shared much on that subject either, he seems to be holding off information."

Amite sighed, "It's to be expected. A commander's reputation is important to them, do you think that Vasin is the problem in the eyes of the other commanders?" She brought a hand to her hair pulling at a strand, "Fallyn is the one changing all the plans with the human camp. They would have overlooked it if it had only been Carisa, but she wants to save thousands..."

"It's ridiculous." Ezhno said out loud, "... but that's not the problem right now." She pointed towards the creatures in the distance, "They seem to be moving around, surrounding us to be exact... they seem to be blocking the exits."

Amite's eyes widened, "Find out exactly what they were before becoming infected... I have a slight suspicion."

"Care to share it?" He asked.

"Not yet... has Vasin arrived at the camp?" She questioned getting of the vehicle as she asked.

"Yes, he has." He met her down and they began walking, "He's Leaving Bavyn with Carisa at the moment. But Fallyn has been here the whole time... is there something important you must discuss?"

"Just making sure... he was the last one that would arrive." Amite stopped dead in her tracks before looking back up at him, "tell the soldiers to find out about what they are. I'll come to get you later." She ran off with the thoughts fresh in her head.

Spotting Vasin just in front of the tent Carisa was in, she ran up to him and asked, "If I may ask? Is it true you're knowledgeable in combat strategies?"

Vasin seemed caught off guard but nodded, "Yes... what about it?"

"Those things out the camp, they're surrounding us. Now... I've studied many of the animals on earth for the past two years... they seem to be attacking like wolves. But when Neda and Zareb arrived they'd mentioned that they were multiple infected animals. Like wild dogs, bears, monkeys, and reports saying even cats, lions and tigers have attacked."

Hearing her Vasin gestured with his hand to quiet her a second, "You're saying they've adapted to only one of the kinds attack patterns.... but that would mean actual communication between them. As of now they've all just moved towards sounds and smells."

"Yes, but as we've seen the last times they've attacked is us and they aren't just casually running up to us. They've caught us off guard, they've grouped up and hurt us." She signaled to the side, "Neda arrived here wounded! And she was escorting Carisa... if Fallyn wants to save the people, it could be much harder. HQ could be-"

Just then a loud alarm went off, and even if it was far, it sounded loud enough as if it was beside them. All the alaois in the camp instantly looked in the direction, Amite and Vasin included.

Vasin's mouth hung open before he clenched it in anger, "Electrify the walls, shoot from afar, all armor on. All alaois is to have two guns in hand or more. Inform me of anything that changes." He walked off quickly it's his hands clenched and looking for Fallyn.

He spun around in the area looking for her. When he finally found her standing and speaking to soldiers he placed his hand on her shoulder and spun her around, "We need to talk, now." He hissed.

She ushered the other Alaois away moving his hand from her shoulder, "What is it?"

He pointed in the direction the alarm had gone off in, "What was that? Hm, because we specifically ordered it was not to be used. It's still a prototype, as much as we know it'll wake up any of the infected who didn't get their heads blown to smithereens!"

She glared at him, "I didn't send any word to have it activated, I thought you did."

"WHY WOULD I DO SOMETHING SO STUPID!" He yelled, "The scientist were still developing it, the hell, we don't even know how the animals became infected so quickly."

"I am as aware of things as you. So you don't have to enlighten me." She huffed and walked to an empty tent closing the door shut after he walked in, "But if you didn't send word to set the prototype alarm off then who did?"
