Arriving at the HQ and just getting off Carisa was pulled out of the group she was in and into Marnik's embrace.

"We've been apart just a few hours." Carisa pointed and felt his tail wrap around her leg, "Seriously just like five hours or so."

"We've got a small issue." He said, when she looked up his eyes were set elsewhere. Following his gaze, she fell upon Amite and Ezhno.

Carisa unaware of what he meant smiled and waved at them, wanting to speak with Amite, "Let's go over."

"No... I heard Bavyn wants to see you, let's first go there." Carisa was about to say it would only take a moment when Marnik dragged her, "He'll be so happy."

"Of course he will, you made me leave him in a room all alone. For no good reason in the end." She pointed out and walked a little faster to not have Marnik right behind her, "Did you get to test the blood samples?"

"No, Amite interrupted me before they finished. She nearly killed me." He saw her putting up a distance and moved slightly walking beside her instead, "So as my way of revenge, I don't want you talking to her, especially alone. Deal?"

"What do I get in return?"

"Me-"

She shushed him, "Something I can't easily get."

Marnik grumbled feeling insulted, "I'll take you to the preservation camp... we can stay a week and you can make friends."

"Hm." She sighed, "Fine, sounds like a deal... but can't I just ask Neda to take me, and you can't do anything about it."

"Sh, you agreed to it. It's been done, now just no talking around Amite or Ezhno."

"But you said it was only Amite." Carisa's statement ignored as Marnik opened a door.

"Oh look, Bavyn's here, go talk and spend time with him." Marnik pushed her into the room, closing the door behind him. When turning back around Bavyn was tightly hugging Carisa.

Carisa had her hands tightly around Bavyn, feeling his small tail wrap on her foot, "I missed you." She told him.

Bavyn looked up at her, his eyes puffy as tears streamed down his face, "I thought you'd never come back... don't leave again."

She lifted him in her arms, "I don't plan on doing so." Squeezing him in her arms she sighed, "I'm so sorry you've been stuck in here so long."

"It's ok." Bavyn grinned and noticed Marnik's stare in them.

Marnik walked up standing beside Carisa, "Maybe you should tell her what you've been up to. I'll be back in an hour." He looked over at Carisa and leaned whispering, "I'll just be running some tests. Don't leave the room." He pressed a kiss against her cheek before walking out.

Carisa pressed a hand against her cheek taken back by his action. Getting it out of her head she looked back down at Bavyn, "So, tell me everything."

Marnik leaned against the door a second longer before going on his way. His hands closing up into first as his eyes glared at nothing. His thoughts on the commanders, he had to speak with them.

Marching his way to their office he wasted no time, and soon enough stood at the door, and they already knew he was there. The door opening he saw them both sitting calmly and looking at him. When he walked in the doors closed behind him.

"Marnik, it's good to have you back," Fallyn said with a smile.

Vasin glared, however, "You left without permission."

"I had my reasons too. The situation here was hostile, and the least I would want is to have more casualties." Marnik implied keeping his eyes in the commanders, "I realize now I acted in a panic... I left worried and it was wrong of me."

Vasin stood up, "You left a child on his own in a moment you deemed dangerous!"

Fallyn pulled his arm to bring him down, "And that was wrong of you. You've disappointed us and many more of your kind. You've called your family superior. Antiope is on her way here."

Marnik's eyes widened slightly, "She doesn't need to come here. I can mend my mistakes... I'll accept any punishment." Marnik got down on his legs, his head against the floor, "I acted wrong, I recognize that just let me fix this."

"We're afraid this is your final month here with us, and." Fallyn stood up walking over, looking over him, "Carisa shall stay here, with us, till a cure is fabricated, and only then will you be able to see her again. You're a danger to our society Marnik... we can't have you here knowing your priorities are not with the team, it's for the best you take time apart."

Marnik looked up at her, "No, I can fix this, I can mend my mistakes, I can-"

"No." Vasin cut him, "It's been decided, Antiope will be here in a week, and you'll have to speak with her for us to change anything. But we've decided this is for the best... you're lucky we don't just throw you out of the kind completely."

Fallyn walked back to her seat, "Carisa however has done nothing wrong, and the recording in your room show she was reluctant to leave Bavyn... so you're the only one that will pay the consequences, Carisa is one of us now. She'll be taken care of and protected, and when she is cured, she can choose to go with you, or stay with us."

Marnik's eyes burned with unfallen tears as he turned to look back down, slowly getting on his feet. He knew that whatever the commanders said was law... and he couldn't go against it, "I'll take my leave."

"We'll personally tell Carisa... so you can go mend your relationships with your comrades and hope for forgiveness," Fallyn told him as he walked out the door with his head down.

Walking through the halls Marnik made his way directly to the room, opening the door and watching her speak with Bavyn. He held his breath waiting for when she'd look at him...
