Carisa's condition had frozen, she felt just as horrible, but not much worse. Neda had told her Marnik would be arriving, but when he did she didn't want to see him. She said she was tired, she said she just didn't feel like seeing him.
Inevitably Marnik wound up walking in when no one had been keeping an eye on the door, finding her fast asleep in bed.
His steps towards her short, yet quick to sit just besides her. Starting down at her pale face and seemingly broken down features. A part of him questioned if this really was the girl he'd met in the woods and kept so close to him.
Such little time away from him... Yet he found it so hard to recognize her. A frown setting on his lips and he reached out a hand to caress her cheek, noticing the flinch in her reaction, "So you're awake."
"Of course I'm awake, sleeping is hell... Like I won't wake up again... Or maybe if I do I'll feel even worse." she said, and turned her back to him.
"Ive been worried." he said.
"Ive been dying." she shot him down, "what are you getting at Marnik?"
He sighed, "Neda says she has one final attempt."
Carisa laughed, "How amusing." after all she'd said to Neda, Carisa beloved she'd finally things her way. How Carisa had given up, and was giving in to leaving... Even if a part of her was afraid.
Marnik shrugged his shoulders, "Just one last injection... Might as well try til, the end... No?"
