Marnik, Carisa, and Amil walked all together down the hall. Taking Carisa off to a different location Amil suspected she might like. Briefly mentioning it was plant life from other planets.
"So what can you tell me about humans Marnik, I didn't exactly bother on studying them when I wouldn't even have to deal with them," Amil asked curiously as to what might have made Marnik bring her.
"They eat weird stuff, and believe me it tastes terrible. The only thing that has tasted a little nice is a small little thing she gave me once." He made a circle with his hand, "About that big. Let's see what else... They don't like the sight of blood as much as we thought... I don't know what else to tell you." Marnik's explanation didn't really seem all that magnificent as he'd expect but it was something.
Amil pressed his hand against a scanner, the doors opening to show very unusual plants. Some hung from the ceilings while others hung against the walls. Their bright colors calling Carisa's attention, her eyes widening at such beauty.
"Told you she'd like it." Amil bragged and shopped a flower off.
Handing it to Carisa, she held it gently. Not bringing it to her face as she noticed her skin reddened and handed the flower to Marnik, "I think I'm allergic." She was a bit unhappy about it, mostly because such a pretty thing seemed to hurt.
It didn't take long for her whole arms to get red, scratching her hands vigorously she frowned.
Amil noticed and felt guilty ushering them out of the room, "I'm sorry, I didn't think she'd have this reaction."
Marnik threw the flower aside and grabbed Carisa's hands, "Don't scratch..." he looked over at Amil and asked, "Is there any quick treatment?"
"There is..." Amil looked down at the floor, "But she might be allergic to it as well, it's things foreign to this planet. Some of us are only allergic to it, not everyone which is why I also doubt it'll be of any good.
"Well... what will happen if she doesn't take it?" Marnik broke off part of her shirt, seeing the red rash continue to spread, "Answer me Amil."
"I don't know. I've never studied humans, I don't know the extent this could take." Amil was already looking for things through cabinets, finding what he was searching for he took a bottle from the corner getting liquid into the syringe like object. "If we inject her, it could potentially help her... or make things worse."
Carisa watched them speak amongst themselves and noticed the syringe, "It's just itchy, that's all really."
Another Alaois appeared like out of thin air, and upon further inspection, it was one of the commanders, Fallyn to be exact. Man, that woman appeared everywhere, Carisa thought.
"Inject her, if it gets more problems well deal with them," Fallyn commanded seems like she'd been listening, seeing Amil freeze and do nothing she hurried to inject Carisa herself.
Carisa winced when she was injected, but the rash slowly disappeared from her arms. Marnik pushed Carisa towards him, inspecting her arms himself, "Do you feel anything."
"It's fine, it's going away. I told you it was just itchy." She said getting goosebumps, her whole right sleeve had been torn by Marnik when he freaked out.
Fallyn glared towards Marnik, "You don't go around tearing the girl's clothes Marnik. Get her back to the room, and keep an eye on her. If there's any change to her physically or she feels bad get her to the doctors. Amil..." she turned to him, while he held his head low, "Given that you've never had a part in studying or investing anything about earth why would you bring one to a room filled with other world plants. She could have died..."
"I should have known better," Amil admitted.
Marnik watched on and spoke up, "It's my fault, I agreed to bring her... Amil was just trying to make her feel welcomed."
Fallyn looked from one of them to the other, "Well would you look at that, two heads and you're still both thinking with your ass. Pathetic, Amil gets back to work, Marnik, get out of my sight. And I swear, that this girl better is fine by the time my party starts or I'll personally make sure she's taken care of by professionals for a week."
Marnik glared before leaving with Carisa, Amil taking a turn on a different hall. Carisa looked back at Fallyn but the woman was already on her way to who knows where. It didn't take them long to be back in the room.
"You still feeling alright?" Marnik asked while closing the door.
"Yes, everything is fine." She sat down in the living room and watched him pace around the room, "Are you going to tell me anything?"
"Yeah... we have a party to attend this afternoon... Amil is sorry for what happened... and I should have thought things through." He raised two hands up to his hair, messing up the ponytail he had.
Carisa shook her head and patted the spot beside her, "No, Marnik. You didn't know it would happen, you expected to just have a good time. It's not your fault or Amil's. And if we have to go to the party then we will. Maybe it'll be fun, you can present me to the people you know."
"People... you mean Alaois..." he shook his head ignoring her term for them, "But what if you're not feeling alright? I have to take you to the doctor if that's the case... Amite and Ezhno won't be there either." Explaining that to her he sat besides down with her, hunched over as he stared at the floor, "They have work to do, won't be back in a month... and the other commander I'm sure wants to meet you. He's probably going to be at the party."
"Then I'll meet him, I'm sure we can call Amite and Ezhno, can't we? Maybe after the party and tell them how it was. Also hear from them and how they're doing..."
He sighed, noticing her already figuring out a way around the problem, "Well we can but still, they won't really be here until a month goes by."
"So we make the best of it. Oh come on it'll be like back at the start, you and me with crazy places to be in." She hugged him, out of nowhere, "But don't drag me in another city.... or Could get ourselves into some other fun trouble, don't you think?" Giving him a grin he couldn't help like the idea.
"So what problems do you want to get into?"
