Amite and Ezhno were almost finishing packing, having taken new equipment and supplies they just had to put them in the vehicle. Amite held a sour expression thoughts about Carisa running rampant in her head.

"They'll be fine Amiet, Marnik isn't alone in here. Besides he always calls you when he's in big trouble, " Ezhno reassured her, "Now let's finish setting things up here. We leave in less than an hour."

She sighed and continued the job, he had a point, " I'm just worried how Carisa will take it all... Maybe we should have told her we where the one's to attack her town when it happened."

"No... I don't get why you're taking the blame... You didn't hurt a fly if she would be angry at anyone about that it's me." he pointed at himself, "And I wouldn't really mind, if she wants to be angry then let her be angry." he took a pause and looked at Amite, "I'm not sorry... I did my job, and you did yours on taking the samples."

"But Ezhno... Don't you feel even a little sense of remorse? Knowing you killed people that could have potentially been her family? Sure we've known her for maybe barely a week maybe two since we got back to HQ or so... but she's so sweet and innocent." Amite leaned against the vehicle, "She was a child when it started."

Ezhno huffed and threw in some of the supplies closing the door. He pulled at strands of his hair and stared back at her, "We barely know her, I get how you can feel pity for Marnik but not her. She's sweet and innocent sure maybe... And yes she was a child when it all started... but that doesn't take away from the fact that she's a flawed and destructive human being. She's survived this long because she's killed, murdered the infected, maybe even noninfected too, we don't know."

Amite stood up straight frowning, "You used to think humans should stay and live in a contained area. What happened to that? Why do you suddenly just not care?"

"Because you're wrong. Because that's what you wanted... I love you Amite and that is why I've always supported you even if you're wrong. I don't care about the humans, I really don't... but you did, so I've been here having you're back. Except at times where you need to accept that you're wrong..." he said, "I think it was a bad idea to bring her." Pressing his hands on her shoulders, "Let's leave this planet... the commanders will send us elsewhere. Just you and me, no Marnik or Carisa."

She pushed him back and looked at the floor, "I really wonder if I know you at times. And from what you've said... I guess I don't." holding her breath Amite sighed deeply, "Because I beloved we shared guise feeling, I guess it was my imagination."

She walked away from him going inside and shutting out the world around her. Unsure of what actions to take, and even more thoughts buzzing in her head.

Marnik had been accompanying Carisa the past hours, and getting a new special set of clothes for the party they had to attend. She'd been easily persuaded into wearing it is a bit more formal for the Alaois.

"You know, this look is kinda better. Still find you better in normal human clothes." He pulled her hair up and tied it up in a ponytail like his, "You're going to meet many new 'people' soon. And I'm sure Amil will probably tag along with us, also I highly doubt the commander will even let you breathe."

"Calm down Marnik, everyone seems alright so far. Amite and Ezhno are sweethearts, Amil is a little bundle of joy, and the commander even if a little scary, doesn't seem half bad." She turned looking up at him, a strand of loose hair falling across her face, "Besides, I'd like to meet more of your friends."

He pulled the strand off her face, pushing it behind her ear, "Well I'm aware that a few of them want to meet you. Amil was just the first, I have a few older battle comrades wanting to see you. See what all my talk is about."

"You talk about me?" A small blush spread across her face.

"Well, yeah. You're kinda popular around here at the moment." He explained, opening the door to the living room.

Standing still he waited for her to follow him, walking out the room together they made small talk across the hall. The party was going to start in just a couple more hours and he planned to show her more around the place till then.

Carisa's eyes fell on Amite, seeing the woman gloomy unlike she'd ever seen. Letting go of Marnik's hand she walked towards Amite, "Is everything alright? I thoughts you guys already left..."

Her question brought Amite back to reality, seeing Carisa concerned, "Yes... I was just heading to say goodbye... Ezhno and I will be leaving in a couple of minutes. I see you're ready for the party."

Carisa twirled around, "Yes indeed... but are you sure you're alright. You look a little... miserable."

Marnik stood in between them speaking in the native tongue quickly, "Did something bad happen?"

Amite shook her head, "No, everything is alright I promise. Just a little saddened I won't be seeing you guys for a month. It's gonna be weird not seeing you and your crazy visits Marnik. And you Carisa..." Amite leaned down changing to English, "You need to take care of him for me, he tends to lash out at times."

Carisa giggled and nodded, "I will." She looked around and didn't spot who she was looking for, "Where's Ezhno?"

"He... he's already waiting for me, I'll call you guys. We can probably chat once you're done with the party." Amite ruffled Carisa's hair and looked over at Marnik, "Remember to call me."

Marnik nodded, however, he wasn't buying into her words. Giving her a look of worry, "Take care... I'll call you as soon as we're back from the party. Carisa was already planning to as well. She's very fond of you two."
