Pushing away she looked up at him holding him even tighter. She had nothing to say, nothing to even think. Forgetting she was stuck in a roof, forgetting all the zombies running around.

Pointing at himself he spoke, "Marnik." He pointed at her, "You are?"

"Carisa." She smiled at him, they finally knew their names. She was so glad, but her eyes drifted to the side. Seeing the mass of zombies running away. As much as she enjoyed just sitting here with him she knew they had to move. Getting up she grabbed his hand.

Looking down at the ground he made sure no zombies were near before bringing her down with him. Holding her tightly they began running opposite from the zombies. Knowing the red zone he knew of an abandoned barn, quite sure it was still standing it could be a good place to keep her a while.

He was sure that by the time they got there it would be morning. Looking at her running beside him every second, he wasn't planning on leaving without her. He had one week to have her agree to stay with him. There was enough time... right? Grabbing her hand subconsciously while running.

Seeing the bloodstains on her clothes, hands, and hair he worried. She didn't appear like she was infected, but he knew that as soon as he had a chance he'd give her an inspection. Finding they where far enough from the zombies he began walking, putting an arm around her while grabbing her hand. Looking over the blood patches around her. Looking her twice in the eyes before lifting part of her shirt off exposing her stomach. Finding no bites he sighed in relief, messing up her hair to tease her.

Seeing her eyes look ahead he spotted the barn he meant to bring her. Letting her run ahead he looked around the place, no zombies no humans around either. Walking along after her he saw her looking around the place, curious as to everything around, surprising,y enough there was a cow walking around.

An odd sight in the red zone given how many zombies went through the area. Walking towards it he had the desire to just bite into it. But having her looking at it with those sparkly eyes he held himself back. Walking towards the open barn, it was empty and tore apart.

She was already getting up the ladder making him look at her concerned. The wood was old, what if it gave out and she fell. Walking up behind her he made sure she went up with ease. Sitting beside her and keeping an eye out for any unwanted guests.

Feeling her lean against him, she was tired from barely any sleep the last two nights. Closing her eyes while intertwining her hand in his. He became as still as a brick hearing the soft snores coming from her.

By the time she woke up it was starting to get dark again, he had wanted to get out the area before it was late again but it looked like he'd have to stay a while longer. Feeling his muscles sore from staying in the same position so long he moved as soon as she woke up. Leaning his back against the wall and stretching his arms.

She giggled seeing him, "Tired?" She asked him.

'Tired?' He searched the meaning of the word in his head, "I'm fine." He told her pulling her back with him, "You?"

"Fine." She repeated back to him pushing away from him. Grabbing a strand of his hair and braiding it. Bringing it to his face so he could see what she did, "Braid."

"Braid." He repeated and blew it off his face. His eyes looking at the cow entering the barn, he didn't want that in here when the alarm went off. The number of zombies coming in after it would be too many to deal with.

He pointed at where they were telling her, "Stay." While he went down to deal with the cow. Pushing the thing out with ease he peeked up at her, finding her leaning on the edge looking at him.

Smiling at her he walked out with the cow, she couldn't see him right? Looking around his immediate area there where no zombies and she didn't see him from inside. Holding the animal still, he bit into its neck, the blood spilling around as he did.

While he went on eating the poor thing Carisa laid on the floor looking at the ceiling. Waiting for him to come back, 'he's taking long' she thought. Wondering what was keeping him. Going down the stairs she could hear the cow... crying? What was up with that? Peeking out just an eye she could see him feasting on it. Soon enough the cow went quiet.

She felt bad for the poor thing, then again it would happen eventually with all the zombies going around. She leaned against the doorway and knocked on the wood, his eyes peeking at her a second. Was he embarrassed?

Walking towards him she stood beside him pulling his hair out of his face. And putting it up into a weird bun. Seeing his ears with no hair in the way she could see how odd they looked. Hard to believe an alien such as himself could still look somewhat human.

Turning his face to her the blood dripped down his chin. His head-turning to the side before closing his eyes. Weird reaction as always she thought. Pulling his ear a little he opens his eyes, glaring at her for a moment, making her leave and go back up the ladder.

The alarm resounding ti the place making her jump in surprise, it sounded just as close as when she was in the town. Had they even moved at all? Just how loud was that alarm. Hiding in the corner she impatiently waited for him to get back. He was back up in minutes the blood fresh on his hands and face but slightly smeared aside.

Pulling an extra shirt she had from her bag she took his hands and began cleaning the blood off it. When she reached up to clean his face he was already leaning down. Marnik smirked slightly, making him look like a sadistic murderer having the blood on his face.

Ignoring him she pulled at his cheeks while cleaning him up. The growls outside didn't bother her until they began bumping against the barn. She tried looking off to the side but he pulled her back if they saw her that would be a problem.

Hugging her some of the blood on his face spread onto her hair. His tail going around her waist, "I'll protect you." He whispered, "always."

Her cheeks flushed red, at the words. Hugging him back, she blew into his ear, making the tail tighten around her. She giggled as quietly as she could while playing with his hair. The night passing slowly as she'd already slept and he didn't seem like he was tired. Feeling him move away she looked at him curiously.

He was taking something from his pocket, the device glowing in the darkness, some kind of letters on the screen she couldn't read. But what she could tell clearly was the panic in his face. Tapping on the things screen and putting it up to his ear. Did it work as a phone? Alien phone?

He turned away from her whispering into the thing, "Amite... yes I need you to come to my location. Just don't ask I'll explain once you come to get me."

He hung up on whoever was on the other side and held a finger up to his mouth. Looking over the edge the zombies were already going slower the later it got. Getting down the ladder he tried making the least amount of sound while moving through the zombies. Taking out another miniature altar and throwing it as far as he could.

While it was still beeping he ran up to her, covering her scent and grabbing her in his arms to start moving away from the place. Moving the opposite way from the zombies, he tried to take the least crowded route keeping her as safe as he could.

If Amite was on her usual location she'd make it to him in about half an hour, after getting the news that the alarm would ring every four hours he didn't want to stay on the zone another second. Much less with her so vulnerable in them.
