Carisa looked between the two bickerings and sunk back, "I don't think this issue will be too good for the kids. They might overhear and get the wrong idea."

Fallyn sighed and nodded, "We'll take our leave, Antiope doesn't need us around." She turned on her heel and began walking off.

Vasin stood a couple more minutes there and looked at Carisa, "Everyone has their own opinions on the half breeds... but please be careful when being around them. They don't always tend to follow the same rules as us."

He turned around and walked out as well. Leaving her with the kids while passing by Marnik on his way out.

Marnik sighed and looked at Antiope as she huffed angrily, "Marnik, you couldn't just leave HQ for her, whatever she is."

"She's a human mother, I've repeated this ten times. I acted out of fear, I am sorry. I was worried about her, and things seem out of control, I didn't think it through." Marnik explained, holding his hands together.

"You sure as heck didn't think it through! It was stupid... it was beyond stupid." She pulled at her hair, "No wonder they want to throw you out of the ship... And you better be sure as hell by the time that month is us, we're leaving. I don't care how far we need to go... you need to stop this behavior towards her. This... this is why we stay pure, why we don't mingle with other species." She says and paces back and forth.

Marnik sucked a deep breath, "I'm in love with her... even if I leave right this minute as soon as the cure for her is found... I'll come back."

"No! Just no." She pressed her hands together in a clapping motion, "Listen, I have nothing against her... what I am against is this damn relationship." She huffed, "You either listen or-"

"Listen to me... please." Marnik begged, "I adore you mom... but I'm not just cutting things off with her."

Antiope pinched the bridge of her nose, "This is an unhealthy relationship. She's sick... look at what that sickness has done to everyone. Alaois have died left and right, this needs to be eradicated on this planet before we all lose control. What will the others think of us?! The Alaois have gone down, have become weak! It's taken our kind generations to get where we are! I'm not letting your little adventure be our downfall." She stepped back, "I'm calling the higher-ups... the earth will be no more."

Marnik clenched his fist, "NO! You haven't been here for the last two years, you don't know what I know."

"Then what do you know!?" She questions him, raising her hands, "Tell me Marnik."

"... The planet is dying." He admits, "But she can be saved, the cure is so close."

"What about the rest of her kind!? She'll be the last one according to your words." Antiope sighed deeply, "Think about her... she was born here, she should have the right to choose if she even wants to leave."

"She does want to-"

"Stop." Antiope said, "I'll speak with you later... bring her along."

She turned her back on him and walked off. Leaving him to think about what she'd said. His face turning towards the door Carisa was still in. Hesitating to even walk towards it.

Slowly standing in front of it before he opened it. His eyes landing on her as she spoke with the kids. Concentrated and not seeing him enter. Walking behind her and seeing the kid's eyes turn away from her she turned. Seeing him standing there with his arms crossed.

Carisa told the kids a few things and they all walked away, "How was the talk?"

He huffs, "Not the best. How are you feeling?"

She shrugs, "I've had horrible headaches, the shots I've been getting only help so much with the symptoms." She looks up to his eyes, "I'm tired Marnik."

He knelt to her, pressing his hand against her forehead, "I think we should head back early, you have a fever."

She stood up with his help and leaned against him, "Sounds good. Don't you have somewhere to be?"

He shook his head, seeing the kids keep their eyes on them, "My time's all yours today." He pressed his head against hers, "Mom would like to speak to us together later. Think you can manage? We call always set it back, there's time."

Carisa considered it and shrugged, "I'll sleep a while, we can meet her after. Is that alright?"

"It's fine." He began walking out, and looked at the kids, calling someone to keep an eye on before they left, "Neda wanted to come to see you about something didn't she?"

"Yeah, she seems to have forgotten, maybe she's busy." Carisa recalled, "We can always call and check-in." Her mind drifted to Amite and Ezhno, "Have you beard of Amite tho? She left again, Fallyn said it was an important job."

Marnik mumbled before answering, "Yeah, they're in a human camp. You know how obsessed Fallyn has become with keeping humans."

"But that's a good thing. Maybe Ethan is part of the group." Carisa sounded glad about the idea, "It would be nice if that was the case." She smiled and saw Marnik's scowl, "Maybe you can make new friends Marnik, it would honestly be good, considering you never leave my side."

He snickered, "I'll be leaving in less than a month Carisa, it'll be of no point to make friends."

Carisa shook her head, "You're so sour Marnik."
