The two first things that you probably noticed:

1. Chapter 12.5? Yes! This chapter is going to be short, and basically just showing a bit of what's going on in the background.

2. ⨅ᒷリᔑ's POV? Yep! Now, since Watcher's think in Galactic, the entire chapter WOULD be in Galactic. But, to spare you (and myself), EVERYTHING will be translated. Thank your lucky stars ;)

Nah jk I would never torture myself like that.

I tried to put a different twist on Watchers. Make them more human-like. Have more personality. Emotion. Not soulless. It's different than how this usually goes, but...
I-mean-I-like-it--

WC: ~445 (hey I said this was half a chapter!)

Enjoy!

Zena furrowed her brow in concentration. Her mask was off, her gloved hands pressed to her skull. Watchers were odd beings. They wore clothing that covered every inch of them. Cloaks that swept around their bodies. The only bit of skin visible was the area on their face below the nose. That skin was a dusty lavender. Yet another way Xelqua was different.

Xelqua was an odd Watcher. Watchers always only had pure white or black hair. Their skin was dusty lavender. They obeyed orders. They didn't escape.

Xelqua, however, was the only Watcher who wasn't like this. His hair was blonde, for some bizarre reason. His skin was even worse, being a paleish tan color. He had escaped twice. The only similarity was the wings.

Xelqua was possibly the worst Watcher ever.

Which was exactly why Zena needed him back.

She couldn't have Xelqua going around and ruining everything she had worked so hard to maintain. Watchers were obedient. Watchers served her. Watchers would help her with her master plan. Zena was determined to turn Xelqua into a proper Watcher. Not to mention his more... practical uses.

Zena closed her eyes, sending out all her mental forces to find the void-forsaken runaway. She wasn't sure why she couldn't reach him. Sighing, Zena grabbed her mask, slipped it back on, spread her wings, and flew over the lands of the End.

There were many beings that called the End home. Watchers, of course. These were the highest ranking. The most dangerous. The most respected. And there were mobs. Lowest ranking. Just a pesky thing that needed to be dealt with.

Then there were Voidwalkers. They were where all the server Admins came from. They were enemies to the Watchers. Strived for equality or some nonsense like that. Zena frowned upon them. They didn't make sense. Who would be in charge if everyone was equal? The End would dissolve into chaos and havoc if everyone was equal. And what of the mobs? 'Shulkers rights'? 'Endermen have emotions too'? No, that was nonsensical.

What the Watchers believed in was far superior to of the Voidwalkers. If everyone bowed to them, then there would be no problems, right? If all of the End bowed to them, then there would be order. Peace. And if a few had to get hurt in the process, who cares?

It was all for the greater good.

But the Voidwalkers... they wanted chaos. Destruction. Unnecessary death. Who would rule? Who would watch over? Who would maintain order, if everyone was equal? No, the way things were, with the Watchers being in charge, was perfect. If everyone just would bow to Watchers, then everyone would be happy in the End.

Zena smiled to herself.

But the real question was:

'Why stop at the End?'

I hope that gives you a bit more perspective on what's going on! But I have a question for you all:

Who's better?
The Watchers, or the Voidwalkers?

They're both pretty terrible, honestly.

Here's a quote I made up that's pretty fitting!

"The question isn't 'Are you the good guy?', no. There is no 'good guy'. There is no bad guy. There is no black and white in war, only shades of grey and red, and the red is the blood spilled. It isn't 'Are you a good guy?', it's 'Who's side are you on?'"

I like it...
