Harry and Draco trudged out of the Hogwarts infirmary and down to the grounds. It was mainly empty as everyone was in some of their last few lessons before school would end for the summer but Harry tried not to think about that too much.
'I wish I could stay here," Harry muttered quietly. It was warm outside, since the days were creping closer to summer, and he could feel Draco's sweaty hand in his. Not that he minded of course.
Draco hummed in responded, "Costa Rica sounds pretty nice though, or maybe France and just think, no homework, no rules, no impending danger every day."
"You're leaving London?" Harry asked, tilting his head to look at Draco, "As soon as school's finished."
"I mean i'm not sure, I was hoping I guess that we could move in together," He spoke quickly and silently, "I dunno if it's too soon but I really want to help look after some of the children and I know you do to and my mum would love to."
Harry shut him up by kissing him on the lips, "I'd love to move in with you."
"And Cas-."
"And it would be a pleasure to look after Cass with you," Harry cut him off again and a soft blush crept up Draco's cheeks.
"Great," He smiled as they continued to walk in silence for a while.
"You worry too much," Harry finally spoke, breaking their comfortable silence.
Draco hummed in response again.
"Why?" Harry asked.
"Why do I worry too much," Draco raised an eyebrow but Harry just nodded causing the blonde boy to sigh.
"I guess, i'm just scared of loosing people and I don't have the sort of Gryffindor courage you have.
"Gryffindor courage is all a load of toss, most of us are just impulsive" Harry snorted, "And anyway, everyone's brave when they need to be."
"You think so?" Draco asked, he seemed awfully nervous, fiddling with the frayed bottom of his top.
"Yes, why?" Harry frowned.
Draco didn't answer straight away instead he took a deep breath, "I got you a gift."
Harry frowned and bit his lip, "I didn't get you anything."
"No, No it's fine, I wasn't expecting anything." Draco hurriedly responded, "I just- well my mum gave them to me as family heirlooms and I thought that maybe if it wasn't too cheesy."
Harry was laughing quickly and Draco slapped his arm, "It's not funny."
"Alright," Harry chuckled, "Come on then spit it out."
"Ok hold out your hand and close your eyes," Draco voice wavered nervously as Harry dropped his hand and held it, palm upwards in from of Draco.
Harry kept his eyes closed until he felt something small and cool land in his palm. He opened his eyes blinking and glanced down, examining the small silver band that rested in his hand.
It was quite obviously a ring, plain and silver on the outside and the inside engraved with a small lion.
"This is a Malfoy family heirloom?" Harry inquired, dripping with sarcasm.
Draco bit back a smile, "No you idiot, it's got a fucking lion on it," he held out his hand, "This is."
In his hand was a similarly identical ring except it was engraved with a small, elegant looking snake on the inside.
"Of course," Harry smirked, slipping the lion ring onto his ring finger and holding out his hand, "Merlin that's cool," he said admiring it.
