"Hey, we got a few extra blankets and pillows, thought you guys might want them." Rick's voice suddenly said.

Daryl glanced to the left to find the other man walking into the room with his arms full of blankets followed by Carl who had pillows in his arms.

Rick had moved the babies cots out of the room earlier, not wanting Judith or Gracie to disturb them, so they were now in the room across the hall where Tara, Enid and Rosita were sleeping.

"Thanks." Daryl muttered softly, watching the two Grimes' place the bedding materials on the desk across the room.

"Sam, Dean... look, I know it's a shitty time, but we could really use your help against the Saviours. Against Negan. With your experience and skill, we need it. Will you help us fight?" Rick asked as Dean turned around from where he was still sitting on the edge of the bed.

Dean stared at Rick for a moment and Daryl just watched from where he was sitting on the floor. He had no idea if the Winchesters even wanted to fight the Saviours. He knew how much John Winchester meant to them, especially to Dean. He wasn't sure if Dean could fight Negan, even if John wasn't in there anymore.

"No." Dean simply answered, his voice hoarse as he shook his head. "I'm not leaving my sister. So, you guys go and you fight the Saviours and I hope you win, I really do. But, I won't be a part of it. I won't leave her again."

For a moment, Rick didn't say anything as he stared at Dean with a sympathetic expression before he nodded and looked over at Sam who was still sitting on the other side of the bed, but Sam just shook his head.

"I'm not leaving her either." Sam said, knowing what Rick was going to ask and Rick sighed, but nodded.

"I understand... and for what it's worth, I'm sorry about your sister."

Sam smiled sadly at him before he turned his attention back to you and Rick took that as his signal to go.

Once it started to get dark again, Sam had turned on a small lantern on the bedside table, lighting up the room and had somehow convinced Dean to lay down and get some sleep.

The brothers were now lying on the floor beside your bed with a couple blankets and a pillow, snoring softly.

Daryl ended up taking the last of the blankets and laid down beside the wall he had been sitting against for the past 24 hours, resting his head back down on the pillow and within a few minutes he was asleep as well.

He wasn't entirely sure how long he had been asleep for, but the next thing he knew he was wide awake to the sound of screaming. In an instant he was up on his feet with his crossbow in his hands.

"What the hell is happening?" Dean shouted, pulling out his handgun.

Sam did the same as grabbed the lantern from the bedside table and looked over Daryl, but he just shrugged his shoulders because he had no fucking idea what was going on.

"C'mon." Daryl said, rushing out the door, the brothers right behind him and he came face to face with a walker.

"Shit." He swore slamming the end of his crossbow against its face, killing it instantly.

"Holy shit." He thought he heard Sam say from somewhere behind him before the door across the hallway opened and Carl stepped out with a crying Judith in his arms.

"What's going on?" The kid questioned before his eyes landed on the walker by Daryl's feet.

"People have turned. Get the girls and babies in the room with Y/N. Now!" Daryl shouted and a second later Carl rushed back inside before Tara, Rosita and Enid came running out, baby Gracie in Enid's arms.
