You and Daryl were locked inside that small room for at least a few days.
Dwight gave you dog food covered bread as food, but that was it and you were getting pretty sick of it.
It was cold inside the room and you quickly realised that body warmth was the only way to get you both to stop shivering. The two of you spend those few days cuddled together in the dark, just waiting to see what was going to happen next.
You didn't sleep, you kept guard whenever Daryl slept and talked to him about anything and everything when he was awake to get you to forget about your father and brothers.
But, you must have fallen asleep eventually because the next thing you knew, you awoke with a gasp, your forehead laced with cold sweat as you breathed heavily. Images of your father bashing in Abrahams head filling your dreams.
Suddenly, a pair of hands grabbed your bare shoulder causing you to jump in panic.
"S'just me. Ya okay? What's wrong?" Daryl's gruff voice questioned as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders and pulled you into his side.
That was all it took before tears silently trickled down your cheeks. You weren't even sure why you were crying. You barely knew Abraham, you didn't have the right to feel sad about his death especially since it was your father that caused it and your brothers were on his side.
Daryl didn't say anything for a while as he let you cry into him, his free hand rubbing soft circles over your shoulder.
"I'm sorry." You whispered, wiping your teary eyes as you curled into Daryl's side, partly because it was freezing inside the cell, but also needed the comfort as Daryl's grip tightened around your body.
"Ain't nothin' to apologise for. We'll work it out, we always do."
You nodded in response when suddenly music began blasting through the room, causing you both to jump as your ears began to ring from the loud noise.
Your super hearing highly sensitive to loud noises as you tried to cover your ears with your hands, but there was no point. The music was too loud as Daryl's hand suddenly grabbed your arm, silently comforting you as you tried to ignore the ridiculously happy song.
You thought the song would finish and it would go back to be being silent, but it kept playing on repeat.
You weren't sure how much time had passed, but you learnt that the song lasted for a minute and 45 seconds roughly. Although the song always lasted the same amount of time, the gaps between the song varied. Sometimes it would only be a few seconds before the song would start up again, but sometimes it would be over an hour.
There wasn't any pattern to it, it was just random, but you were grateful whenever there was a long gap between songs, giving you and Daryl time to actually talk and sleep because you were pretty sure he was the only thing keeping you sane right now.
"I have never hated music so much in my entire life and that's saying something for someone who's dealt with Dean's music for hours non-stop in the Impala" You commented, hating how tired your voice sounded.
You rested your head back against the wall behind you, your thigh resting against Daryl's as reassurance that he was still beside you since neither of you could see anything in the dark room.
"Dean's music wasn't that bad." Daryl responded, his voice sounding as exhausted as you felt.
"It was bad if you're driving across the county for a hunt and have nothing else to listen to." You chuckled softly remembering all those long drives, sitting in the back of the Impala with Cas, sometimes swapping seats with Sam in the front when he got sick of Dean. You missed those old days.
