*1 year later*
"Good morning!" Sam's voice called out, breaking the peaceful morning silence.
You turned around from where you were standing on the watch platform just as his big scruffy head popped up from the top of the ladder as he reached the top.
"Morning, that time already?" You asked, pulling the scoped rifle off your shoulder and holding it out to him.
"Yep." Sam responded, taking the rifle and slinging it over his own shoulder. "You know you and Cas don't always have to volunteer for the night shifts up here, right?"
"Yeah, but I don't need much sleep and Cas doesn't sleep at all, so it just easy."
"Speaking of Cas, have him and Dean already left? I didn't seem them in the house this morning." Sam checked, glancing back over his shoulder to see if he could see the Impala down the street anywhere.
"They left a few hours ago. Dean said they'll be back in a few days once they get more supplies from the bunker." You explained and Sam nodded.
You had been doing trips back to the bunker every few weeks, grabbing supplies and anything that looked like it could be useful. It was a long drive back to the bunker, but Dean and Cas never seemed to mind the trip and were usually the ones that did it.
"You know, sometimes I think they just like driving all that way so they can have a place to themselves for a few nights." Sam responded with a soft chuckle and well he probably wasn't wrong.
"Well, that is fine by me, at least then I won't be able to hear them going at it in the middle of the night." You said causing Sam to screw his face up in disgust and you grinned.
"I don't wanna to know, I don't wanna picture our brother and Cas-" Sam started to say before you cut him off with a laugh.
"Hey, I didn't tell you to picture it, I just said I could hear them. Same goes for you and Eileen by the way, you guys might be upstairs, but the walls are pretty damn thin and I do have super hearing." You warned.
You could see your brother starting to blush as he shook his head.
"I hate you." He grumbled, running his fingers through his hair.
"Love you too, Sammy." You said, unable to stop yourself from laughing. "How is Eileen settling in anyway? It's been like what? Three weeks since Jack bought her back from being a ghost?"
"Yeah, she's good. She likes it here, she's happy, we both are." Your brother said sincerely and you smiled.
"You two are cute together." You added and Sam just rolled his eyes.
"Thanks, now get out of here, it's my shift." He responded, shoving your shoulder gently.
You chuckled softly before making your way down the ladder shouting a quick 'see you later' as you descended down the ladder.
It was good seeing Sam so happy, him and Eileen were practically made for each other. You were glad that Jack had realised she was a ghost who had apparently been hanging around your family for a while, trying to make her presence known, but she wasn't strong enough.
Jack had bought her back a few weeks ago and had been dropping by every few weeks to catch up and make sure everyone was okay.
It was good to see the kid and he had also been traveling around the country, finding your old friends around the place to give them the coordinates for Alexandria. Charlie, Bobby, Jodie, Donna, Claire, Alex, Garth and his family, and more.
