The streets passed by in a hazy blur as Noah raced down the road back to his house. I had my dress wrapped firmly around me, my hands wrapped tightly around Noah's waist.
Usually I enjoyed being on the back of Noah's motorcycle but today wasn't one of those days.
Finally we reached the Blue Water house. Noah stopped away from the house so we didn't draw attention to ourselves.
He helped me up off the back, carefully removing the helmet from my head. I smiled sheepishly at him, anticipating our next move.
I watched Noah as he focused on his phone, bringing up the camera systems from inside the house. It looks as if Lorenzo was alone and still snooping through the office.
"Okay Annabella I want you to listen to me in there, stay by my side. We're gonna go in through the basement doors, and I'm gonna sneak up on him in the office."
I tried to put on a brave face, I didn't want Noah to make me wait here for him.
He smiled down at me, a sorry look in his eyes.
"Sorry I have to bring you into this shit again baby. I don't like putting you in dangerous situations but that's all that seems to happen with me."
I leaned closer to him, squeezing his hand before placing a kiss on his mouth.
"You don't have to be sorry, all of this is pretty much my fault. Let's just get tonight over with."
Noah nodded his head, taking his gun out from his trousers. I tried not to let the weapon intimidate me, clutching onto my purse even tighter.
"Let's go baby." He grabbed my hand leading me towards the back of the house.
We made our way into the basement using a door I never knew existed until now. The house was dark, I could barely see a thing. I clung onto Noah as he lead the way.
Once we quietly left the basement Noah let go of my hands silently instructing me to take a step back. I hesitated but did as he said, I didn't need him to be distracted tonight.
We quietly manoeuvred our way through the house, it was nothing but darkness. As we approached the office we could hear scuffling around. Lorenzo was definitely still in there.
Once we were outside the door Noah cracked his neck left and right, sending me a quick wink before storming inside.
I took a deep breath ready to follow behind Noah when I heard a large crashing sound. Startled I ran inside the room. My eyes landed on a disorientated Noah, blood dripping from his head as he was hunched over on his knees.
I quickly found Lorenzo standing there, a crowbar in his hands dripping with blood.
"Oh my god Noah." Lorenzo booted Noah in the ribs before pointing Noah's gun at me.
"Don't come any closer Annabella or I swear I'll shoot him, don't try me." Lorenzo shouted.
"Lorenzo what are you doing, this isn't you. You should put the gun down before you hurt somebody." I couldn't take my eyes off of Noah as I spoke. The sound of Lorenzo laughing pulled my attention to him.
"I thought you liked bad boy's Annabella. You should be used to hanging around men with guns, no?"
Fuck. What the hell was going on? This wasn't how tonight was supposed to go. Lorenzo booted Noah again, causing blood to drip from his mouth.
