The gang's house was pulsating with life. Music was blasting. There were drunk people outside on the driveway, drunk people pouring from the back yard and there were even people on the roof.I need a drink.
At high school parties there are always familiar faces around, sometimes you see the odd freshman and sometimes you see some college kids who couldn't let the high school dream die. But Ripper's party was nothing of the sort. As soon as I walked through the front door I felt uncomfortable.
The people here were grown adults, there were people in the kitchen doing lines of what looks like cocaine from the counter-top, in the living room people were smoking bongs and I'm pretty sure there was a couple having sex on a bean bag in the corner.
I turned around to beg Adam to take me home but he was nowhere to be seen. I left the living room to go and find a drink because God knows I needed one. I squeezed passed the body's that were dancing on each other around the house and finally made it back into the kitchen.
I grabbed a cup and filled it with beer chugged it in one. I was stood not too far from the people sniffing cocaine and every bone in my body was itching to leave. Where the fuck is Ripper? I helped myself to another drink and started to feel a buzz picking up from the drinks I'd had before.
I stayed in my space watching people interact around me for the next 5 minutes before someone started to talk to me.
"Well hey there pretty lady, do you fancy something a bit stronger?" this guy was cute, he was definitely around 25 but he looked like he belonged in a boy band. "I'm okay with my beer thanks, I don't do drugs."
"Don't be boring who are you here with anyway? A pretty girl like you shouldn't be in a place like this, especially not alone." I helped myself to another beer wanting to numb the anxiety I started to feel course through my body, "I'm just waiting for Ripper, he's expecting me."
His face dropped and he took a step back from me and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "Ohhh you're the girl are you? Ripper's in the basement you should go find him."
I really didn't want to go back into that basement who knew what Ripper was doing behind closed doors. But I'd rather that than stay up here and get my face pushed into some snow.
I made my way over to the basement ignoring the gropes on my ass and hips that came from strangers. I'd already been called 'mami' twice before I'd even made it out the kitchen.
The door to the basement was locked and Ryan eventually answered it after I'd knocked and waited for 2 long minutes.
I wish I was at Ryder's right now.
He opened the door wider when he saw it was me and I quickly scanned the room to make sure nothing illegal was going on. All the usual blue water guys were down here and a few extras, some who I'm sure were at Diner 99 when we first met. There were about 15 guys wearing leather jackets lounging around with cigarettes in their mouths, some playing poker, some around a pool table and a few to no surprise sat doing cocaine.
"Little Red, you took your time finding me come over here and give me a kiss." Ripper was drunk, I could tell by the tone of his voice. But that was okay because I was half way through to joining him. I walked over to him ignoring the looks from all the other guys in the room. Ripper's eyes drank me in from where he was sat as I made my way over. I couldn't help but notice him adjusting his groin under his jeans.
Ripper was the only guy in the room who wasn't wearing a leather jacket, he was wearing a green top with a jacket to match and he looked as good as always.
