Stiles paced the empty boys bathroom impatiently. "Scotty I'm telling you, it's not how it sounds she really does love me. I know it does sound like she may be using me but I know she's not she just needs to find out a way to get rid of him for good." Stiles reassured him while fidgeting nervously with his fingers. "Stiles bro listen you know that's unlikely, it'll be impossible to tell him without him kicking off and either wanting to hurt you or worse, hurt her. Is it worth getting beat up just for some girl?" Scott said gently as he finished peeing, zipped up his pants and went to the sink to wash his hands.
Stiles hated how much sense his best friend talked. He did have his own anxieties and overthinking which led him to the crazy ideas that maybe Lydia was just using him? No she wouldn't. He pushed them away. "But dude this isn't just 'some girl', this is Lydia we're talking about. The girl of my dreams since I laid eyes on her and now is my chance! All those times I watched Jackson kiss her roughly or be horrible to her or ignore her completely. It was unbearable, he's such a jackass he doesn't deserve her. He literally cheats on her at most parties they go to and treats her like shit. It's disgusting." Stiles stated while turning to look at his own reflection in the mirror.
"I know man it's shitty. No girl should have to go through that but you really think that you can save her? Like all this sneaking around man honestly it doesn't sit well with me I feel like something bad is going to happen. Scott said worriedly him while turning to him slightly. He knew that Scott was right. It was wrong. They both knew that but when you love someone this much any second, no matter how small, is precious to you. "Don't worry we'll figure this out I'm sure!" Stiles said all chipper and they walked back into the corridor. He wasn't sure who was trying to convince more, Scott or Himself.
Once he got home he quickly raced up to his bedroom, throwing his backpack to the corner and tidying up his room. He changed his top and flannel for a baggy light blue t-shirt and took a quick glance in the mirror. God his hair looked a mess. No matter what he did there was no controlling it so he gave up. Once done he sat on his bed and waited for Lydia's text.
Ping
Stiles rushed over and grabbed his phone excitedly from beside him. Although when he picked it up he found that the message wasn't from Lydia at all but from an unknown number. He cautiously opened it.
Hi Stiles, it's Malia from the party I'm sure you remember me? 😈🖤 I think we should talk. I heard something today that you should know. Meet me at the diner near school in 10 minutes.
See ya soon sweetie xxxxxStiles looked at the message again. What the fuck? His heart raced slightly at what she could possibly want to say to him. Maybe it was a trap that Aidens mates had set up for him since he punched him? Or maybe she was telling the truth. His curiosity got the better of him so he quickly grabbed his car keys and headed downstairs and into his jeep.
Lydia got to the house around 10 minutes after Stiles had left. She opened the door to find the house empty apart from Mrs Whittmore. Lydia texted Stiles but there was no reply which was odd he usually replied within seconds. "Is everything okay dear?" Mrs Whittmore shook her out of her thoughts as she walked into the living room. "O-oh erm yes totally fine. I-I was just wondering where everyone is you know?" She laughed awkwardly as she tried to cover up her confusion. "Oh yes erm I believe that Jackson is still at Practice and as for Stiles I think he left about 10 minutes ago but he didn't say where he was going, he was in quite the rush though so who knows? He has been sneaking around a lot lately let's hope he's met a girl or something" Mrs Whittmore chuckled lightly before returning to the kitchen.
Lydia's heart dropped. No he can't have he would have told her. Maybe he was just meeting Scott? But then why didn't he text her back he would definitely have told her if he was. Her panic began to build up as she pondered on what to do.
