Lydia pulled the sheets closer around her naked body. She felt a shiver run through her so she turned over to move closer to Jackson. He quickly flinched away from her and opened his eyes to give her a death stare. "Lydia. You know how i feel about cuddling i find it gross so can you move back away from me." He replied with no emotion in his voice and took one look at his phone before closing his eyes again.

Lydia felt cold. He was right she did know how much he hated it but she didn't know why, it was normal for couples to cuddle right? especially after sleeping together? she just wanted to feel some closeness and love from him but it seemed redundant at this point. She sat up carefully not to move the covers off of him and wrapped a blanket around herself as she stood up, so she wasn't cold while she looked for some clothes to put on.

The first thing she saw was one of Jackson's large grey hoodies that he used for lacrosse and she decided to put it on but before she could he yelled at her. "Don't you dare put that on! That's my favourite hoodie and my lacrosse hoodie! Wear some of your own damn clothes cause you just ruin mine and don't think you look cute in them because you really don't." He spat at her as he gave her one last look of disgust before turning over and going back to sleep.

Lydia gulped and quickly dropped his hoodie back on the floor and and found her own clothes. She put on her black tank top and her light pink skirt as she left the room. She'd stayed the night like she usually did on fridays but she today especially she'd managed to wake up early, she realised quickly that Mrs Whittmore was still in bed, her husband at work and Bella still sound asleep.

Lydia creeped downstairs as quietly as she could and found it to be fairly dark. She checked her phone for the time and the bright light blinded her slightly before she could see it properly. When her eyes finally adjusted she saw that It read 6:01am and she sighed heavily, she never really could sleep at his house properly. She decided to head to the living room like she usually did when this occurred. On one of the sofas was her favourite soft polka dot blanket and she grabbed it quickly before wrapping it around her small frame. The room was still pretty dark but somehow it felt warmer down here than it did up with Jackson.

As she sat down, she was startled to find someone sat on the sofa already. It was Stiles. Lydia wondered what he was even doing up at this time, especially since he was one of those people that usually slept in to lunch time. The tension between them was thicker than usual due to them both quickly remembering the awkward occurrence they had with each other just the day before.

Lydia decided to speak first to clear the tension. "So...what are you doing up so early then jerkface?" Lydia smiled at her insult towards him and at as his surprised face. "Wow what a way to say good morning, i mean really i love being insulted by you princess." He smirked sarcastically back at her. Lydia's smile soon turned to a frown at what he said. "Hey! what have i told you about calling me princess? you're not allowed to do that remember? you're an arsehole so i get to call you names that's how it works!" Lydia stated proudly while turning on the TV.

"Oh really Princess? that's how it works it is?" He replied raising his eyebrows at her clearly ignoring what she said as he shifted slightly closer to her. "Well how about i don't really care much about your shitty rules because one, i'm not an arsehole and two, you actually do behave like you're a spoilt princess though... so i'm right." He said matter of factly while grabbing the remote off of her.

"Excuse me? How am i spoilt? you're the one with the god complex mate and i've told you already stop calling me that or i'll....well i'll tell Jackson!" Lydia said holding her head high, What actually was this guys problem with her? Stiles looked at her for a brief second, his eyes locking on to hers, before he burst out laughing. "Oh no...Oh no please don't tell on me Princess what will i ever do?!" Stiles pretended to act helpless, wailing his arms around before resting one across his forehead in faux distress.

Lydia tutted loudly and turned away from him. "You know what you're honestly such a jerk no wonder no girl wants to talk to you!" Lydia spat back angrily and curled deeper into her blanket. Stiles stopped pretending and looked at her, his expression dropped from playful to pissed in a matter of seconds.

"WHAT?" Stiles spoke loudly and sternly and he glared at her, he appeared to be biting the inside of his cheek in frustration. But Lydia wasn't going to let this pass, she was sick of this boy thinking he could say what he liked to her without getting anything in return. No Lydia was more defiant and definitely more feisty than that. "You heard me. I mean if you're this horrible to every girl you talk to i'm not surprised that you don't have a girlfriend, better yet they'd be wanting to slap you more than anything." Lydia spoke coldly but clearly while turning her face away from him.

"Shut up you bitch. You don't know who i talk to and just because i don't bring one home or talk about it to anyone, especially you of all people, doesn't mean i don't talk to girls or that i've never had a girlfriend so shut your face okay? I am honestly so sick of people in this house saying that just because Jackson has you and brought you home doesn't mean shit but no no of course he's Mr perfect and i'm his pathetic loser brother! Oh i get it all now don't you worry, i see how stupid and pathetic you all see me as and i honestly cannot be fucked anymore." And with that, Stiles stood up hastily and stomped out of the room upstairs.

Lydia sat there in shock. She can't believe that she'd made him so angry just from saying one thing, especially after all the insults he'd thrown at her since she'd met him and she'd never retaliated once but the one time she does say something, and it was also something that his whole family says to him anyway, he kicks off and has a tantrum. What a fucking arsehole. She thought as she turned her attention back to the TV and the cartoons that were on there. A small part of her did feel bad for Stiles, i mean she'd obviously really upset him and maybe it was a joke that was only acceptable coming from a family members mouth? She almost wanted to run up after him to apologise but no she shouldn't that would make him so happy to hear her say that.

A loud thud brought her back out of her thoughts as Mrs Whittemore came walking through the living room door. "Oh hiya sweetheart! What has you downstairs so early?" She smiled at her before opening the curtains and letting some light in. She sounded so chipper for so early in the morning. "Oh erm i'm not sure i just couldn't really sleep." Lydia replied truthfully. "Awe you couldn't love? aww was everything okay? was Jackson being nice to you?" Mrs Whittemore asked with a smile and Lydia didn't want to answer she just wanted to change the subject off of her.

"Stiles was down here too a moment ago i think he left just before you got down." Lydia quickly added to hopefully change the topic. Mrs Whittemore frowned lightly. "Oh yes i did bump into him when he was on his way back to his room he looked awfully upset and annoyed so i thought I'd leave him. Oh wait he wasn't being mean to you again was he cause if he was i'll..." Lydia cut her off quickly before she could finish her sentence.

"Oh no no he was fine...ish i guess i mean he's just the way he is you know if he doesn't like me that okay i can't force him it's his decision." Lydia spoke clearly as she looked down at her lap guilty. She knew exactly why he was upset and angry. It was because of her.
Mrs Whittemore seemed to understand partly.

"Aww well that's very sweet of you Lydia, you are an awfully lovely and understanding person and i know that how he treats you is awful and you don't deserve it. He has always been fairly difficult and stand - offish anyway and we're not too sure why, but he especially picks on you the most, but i mean give him time i'm sure he'll eventually come around and like you." She spoke softly and with a genuine concern which made Lydia feel slightly worse.

She laughed internally, knowing that at this rate, Stiles would probably never come around and be civil, he seemed to argumentative for that. Lydia smiled at her lightly. "You know i have a feeling that he might never come around to liking me." Lydia stated briefly and honestly and Mrs Whittemore flashed her a sympathetic smile. "You know i'll let you in on a secret, one that he probably would hate me telling you but, he's actually a really sweet kid. He may put on this 'i don't care' attitude all the time and act moody but he really is kind and sweet and thoughtful...i think that he just really struggles talking to people so he puts up this protective front, he always has since he was young...(she looked down sadly as if reminiscing something painful)..but just erm give him some time, i'm sure he'll lighten up eventually." She replied honestly to Lydia's surprise, before going to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee.
