When they got to school, Lydia sat up in her seat, staring out at the relic of a high school that was Beacon Hills. She took a deep breath in to try to calm her nerves. Now, Lydia has never quite been the type of person to get nervous to go to school, far from it actually, she loved school but this time was different. She knew being popular and having a fit popular boyfriend came with its price and this one happened to be Jackson Whittemore.
She knew that by now he would have at least told his whole team and the slutty girls that hung around him, hanging on his every word, everything that had happened between them at the weekend. She knew she was in for a lot of long stares with judgmental eyes and comments to follow. But no, she was Lydia Martin and she didn't care she was going to put on her confident, intelligent and dignified front like she always did and that was not going to be changed by the likings of him.
Lydia climbed out the car and strutted confidently towards the school where she met up with Allison. "You feeling okay?" Allison spoke quietly but a concern look running through her face as she placed a soft hand on Lydia's shoulder. Lydia sighed before speaking "I'll be fine Ali don't worry about me i'm tougher than you think you know." She replied with a small smile sweeping across her face. Allison smiled back but before she could speak, they were both interrupted by a voice shouting Lydia's name.
However, before they had time to turn around and see who it was Jackson's flashy car quickly pulled up in front of them, loud music with a dirty bass blasting through. He hopped out smoothly as the music died along with his car engine, wearing his famous leather jacket and sunglasses that Lydia always begged him to wear but he'd never let her.
He strode to her and pressed the button to lock his car over his shoulder with an obnoxious beep, not once taking his eyes off Lydia. Allison scowled next to them both but before she could protest to him being there, Jackson swiftly raised his large hand in front of her face before slowly turning his head towards her. "This doesn't concern you. Leave now." He said rudely while Allison looked at Lydia as if she was holding back from just punching him on the spot.
He never did put up an act with Allison, he was always horrible to her, i guess it didn't matter since she already saw right through him straight from day one. Lydia looked at her pleadingly. Allison looked confused for a second before Lydia spoke. "Please just give us a few minutes Ali, i will meet you in class i promise i'll be okay." Lydia tried to assure her, but she was obviously pissed off although to Lydia's surprise, instead of fighting back she growled a "yes" before giving devils to Jackson and stomping off into school. Jackson smirked at her before turning his dark eyes back to Lydia.
"What do you want Jackson?" Lydia spoke confidently but inside she was shaking like a leaf. "Okay let's get something clear. What happened at the weekend was disgusting and honestly i can barely look at you right now but don't worry i forgive you. I know i know lucky you." He flashed her his award winning smile, as if he was some god-given gift.
"Anyway, as i was saying you didn't even try to call me back which honestly annoys me more but because i don't want to look stupid or like i got cheated on and dumped...we're still together. So..." He pointed a finger at Lydia's face. "Don't even dare think about telling anyone what happened or that you cheated on me cause i always find out and i swear if it happens again i will destroy you socially, you understand?" Lydia nodded quickly, frightened. She felt tiny, his big frame easily leaning over hers.
Jackson pushed a rushed kiss onto her lips before striding into School, a sickly smirk as always, resting on his face. Lydia shuddered at his actions towards her and wiped her lips with the back of her hand. She felt terrified at his threats but tried to retain her confident persona. She neatly straightened out her dress and flipped her hair before walking to class as well.
