It had been a few weeks since Stiles and Lydia's argument and the last time the spoke to each other and since then Stiles had been speaking to Zoe and trying to keep Lydia off his mind. Today was his first chance to actually meet her in person and he was nervous. He got up early and took a shower. Once out, he walked over to his wardrobe in just his towel and searched through his wardrobe. He was so nervous, he felt so on edge. Even though he'd already met her before today was different. It was their first date, it was his chance to push out any thoughts he had about Lydia.

He put on a white shirt and some dark blue pants and a black jacket. He wanted to impress this girl and not come across as such a dork. He took a glance in his mirror at his hair. God it always looked so dreadful. He tried putting some gel in it but it didn't change much. He sprayed on some cologne and grabbed his stuff and a rose that he'd bought for her. He turned on his phone and messaged Zoe letting her know that he'd be setting off soon. Once he sent the message he noticed some old messages still left there. They were from Lydia. He read them and sighed. He'd never replied. He felt a wave of sadness hit him as he thought that maybe he should just go talk to her, but he quickly pushed it away. No. He shouldn't. He needed to move on and this was him. Moving on. With one last look at his room and checking that he had everything he headed downstairs.

Mrs Whittmore was cleaning away some breakfast they'd had in the kitchen when he walked in. Mr Whittmore, Lydia and Bella was sat in there at the table. He didn't expect Lydia to be there and just looking at her again hurt him but he ignored her. Today was about Zoe, not her. "Well well don't you look handsome?! Where are you off sweetie?" His mother said beaming at him. "I've got a date." He stated clearly with an excited smile. Mr Whittmore looked up from his newspaper and turned to look at him in shock. "Wow. Good job son I'm proud of you!" He chuckled, reaching over to pat him on the arm. Lydia's head shot up at the news. Her eyes were bloodshot as if she'd been crying all night, and she looked like she'd not slept. Pain and sadness consumed her face as she looked at him but she quickly put her head back down facing the table before he could return her gaze. "Well who's the lucky lady then? Will we ever get to meet her?" Mrs Whittmore smiled and her response made Stiles chuckle slightly.

"Woah there Mom, slow down. This is my first date with the girl. And her name is Zoe and well if all goes well today hopefully you will get to meet her one day!" He said cheerfully. There was a loud noise as Lydia quickly stood up from the table and walked past him quickly as she headed upstairs. He looked on after her. He could tell that she was really upset. He got an urge to go check up on her but hastily scolded himself. No ignore her Stiles, you have a date. "Anyway... I um gotta go so I'll see you later!" He said with a quick smile before heading out the house. Once In the jeep, he placed his rose he got for her in the passenger seat and he FaceTimed Scott nervously, positioning his phone on the dashboard so he could see it while driving.

"Scottyyyyy!!" He cheered as Scott picked up while he started the engine. "Yooo dude today's the day! How you feeling?" Scott replied happily while eating his cereal. "Honestly? I'm nervous as fuck I actually think I might just sweat to death! Like what do I even say?" Stiles rambled anxiously as he began to drive to the restaurant. "You just be yourself. It's all you can do and I mean come on dude you've been texting this girl nonstop for two weeks now you must have got some inclination of what she's like?" Scott asked him, chuckling slightly as Stiles frantic reaction.

"Well...erm she likes sport I think...like she swims and goes horse riding and she says that she loves to dance I think." Stiles recalled nervously. "Ohh a sporty girl huh? Well that's um...different..." he trailed off knowing that it didn't really sound like Stiles' type. "What? Oh god, Is that bad?!" Stiles asked starting to panic but Scott shushed him. "No dude just different and there is nothing wrong with that, but like yeah there you go just ask her about those things and anything else about what she likes like what she likes to eat or drink or if she goes to parties or what she studies? Just for starters and then once the conversation gets moving you'll be a natural bro I'm telling ya like if there is one thing that you're good at it's waffling!" Scott joked while pointing his spoon at Stiles before tipping his bowl up to his mouth to drink the leftover milk.
