Colliding with you

Stiles felt horrible. He didn't want to leave Lydia that way but he felt it only fair to officially break up with Zoe before he started making out with another girl. He waited patiently outside his locker as he waited for Zoe. He felt nervous but also terrified at what she was going to say. It wasn't exactly the nicest way for her to find out about him and Lydia, but it was bound to come out eventually, she needed to know the truth. However, from the way she was acting recently, he gathered the idea that she already sorta knew. This was the worst. As much as he loved Lydia, he never wanted to hurt anyone else, it was wrong of him to drag her into all of this just because he was bitter over not being able to have Lydia. 

The hallways were empty and silent, which only made the thoughts inside his head louder and more brutal. Stiles looked up to see Zoe make her way towards him, he felt his palms begin to sweat as he got more nervous. As she got closer, he found it difficult to read her expression which only made him more worried. "...Hey..." Stiles spoke softly at the girl as she reached him, she avoided any eye contact with him all together and instead resorted to playing with the strap of her bag. "Hi." Her voice was cold and her face absent of emotion as he struggled on how he would phrase anything. Stiles took a deep breath, he needed to do this. "Look Zoe, i know you already hate me right now and you have every right to, i just think that at best i owe you an explanation." he spoke quickly and wearily as he awaited a response. Zoe finally met her eyes as he finished speaking, "You're right. I do hate you." She said coldly as her gaze seemed to pierce his skin.

"I'm sorry..." was all he could muster as he struggled on where to even begin, he noticed her eyes begin to get watery as she stared at him and it only made him feel worse. "You should be. You know what Stiles? I feel so utterly stupid. The thing is I knew...I knew deep down you was in love with her, i mean it was so fucking obvious! You looked at her like she made your world stop turning and god all i wanted was for you to look at me that way, but you never did. i tried everything i could to impress you, to make you want me but it never worked. All you saw was her. It was so frustrating for her to always be there, i mean it also doesn't help that your whole family pretty much thinks she's an angel or something..." Zoe sobbed at him as she waved her hands around in frustration as she spoke. He stayed silent, he knew there was nothing he could say that would make her feel any better. Everything she had said was true. "...But you know what the worst thing was? you made me feel so crazy for thinking that, like you blatantly lied to me over and over again when i asked you about her when all the while you was sneaking off to fuck her!" Zoe's voice became more and more angry as the bitterness swept in, she was nearly in full on tears at this point and Stiles didn't know what to do.

"I'm sorry Zoe, i know i was such a dickhead, the biggest one in fact. I knew i had unresolved feelings for Lydia and I still started dating you and that was wrong of me. But i never meant to cheat on you, i really didn't i trie-" Stiles protested sadly as every word he said seemed to be fuelling Zoe's anger even more as she quickly cut him off. "WHAT?! Are you kidding me right now? You 'tried'? well you clearly didn't try hard enough if you still ended up going back to her! But you know what the worst thing is? its not the fact you cheated or that you lied to me, its the fact that even if we weren't together, Lydia is still with Jackson and you are still in love with your step brothers girlfriend! Do you not see how crazy and stupid that is?!" She screamed at him in disbelief as he sighed at her in response.

"Yes of course i do! Don't you think i know how pathetically rubbish that situation is? i've been stuck in it for years. And yes that does make me a loser and yes that does make me sleezy but i swear it was never my intentions!" Stiles struggled to defend himself as he didn't even understand it. "Maybe, maybe not but i still despise you, because you know what i bet even right now you think you and her will be together hmm? Its so frustrating that you seem to be so wrapped up in your own little worlds that you don't even see the damage you're inflicting on everyone else around you!" She yelled at him as tears ran down her face. He moved forward to try and comfort her in someway but she pushed him away angrily. "No don't fucking touch me Stiles! Look you still don't get it do you? what did you think? that as soon as Jackson found out he would just let you have her? That you'd all be able to live happily under the same roof? No Stiles you're living in a fantasy and you don't even see it. It's ridicules!" Zoe continued getting louder as she stepped closer to the boy, her hands waving dangerously close to his face.
