They had been travelling in the car for around half an hour now and Lydia was starting to get bored. She didn't want to go on her phone too much in case it died and she needed it to take some pictures while they were there. Although, she did keep trying to text Jackson, who was sat in the front, but he was ignoring her since he was very obviously on his phone.

She squirmed uncomfortably in her seat. It was made from leather and the car was getting increasingly hotter, making her legs stick to the seat. Jackson's parents were talking about god knows what, Jackson had some headphones on while Bella was watching something on an iPad. She noticed that Stiles kept glancing at her every so often, but one time he did, she caught his gaze. He seemed to get embarrassed and go back to his phone for awhile.

Lydia squirmed once more in her seat before he eventually spoke to her. "What are you doing? Have you never sat in a car before? Stay still." He said sarcastically while gesturing at her seat. Lydia rolled her eyes at him. "Ha ha very funny. I have actually it's just it's really hot in here and my legs are bare so they keep sticking to the seats." She said as she moved her legs up and crossed them neatly.

Stiles took one look at her legs before speaking. "Well you look stupid moving like that, just put up with it we haven't got long left and it's your fault anyway, you're barely wearing anything." He stated briefly before deciding to pick at a lose thread on his seat. "Umm what? i am wearing something thank you it's called a romper? you know like shorts but it looks like a dress?" Stiles gave her a blank look. "Oh i give up it doesn't matter it's not like you care and i mean why are you even looking at me like that?" Lydia questioned him sternly.

"Erm well you know i'm not like...not like that i mean... i'm not a perv or anything it's just...you have long legs and when you're wearing something short it's difficult to not notice i guess...i mean it's nice an all i mean if you like that type of thing of course...just a little odd to wear to a zoo..." He spoke quieter this time and he seemed to almost stutter as if suddenly feeling nervous about what he'd just said.

Lydia eyes him suspiciously. Had he just said that she looked nice? or had he just admitted that he'd been checking her legs out cause she's wearing something short? Either way Lydia felt fed up with him trying to be such a smart ass all the time. "So you think what i'm wearing is short and inappropriate for the zoo?" She asked him quickly, anger hinting her voice. Stiles looked flabbergasted and confused at how to answer correctly.

She could tell this by his constant stuttering and fidgeting of his hands. "Ermm i-i don't know i mean...yes i guess...no i mean no of course i-it's not...inappropriate y-you look nice like i said...i j-just meant that w-well that..." She cut him off again, he seemed to be digging himself a hole but Lydia was hot, uncomfortable and hungry, she wasn't in the mood to play games with him.

"That what? what are you trying to say? listen here okay? i'm fed up with boys telling me what i can and can't wear so i don't care if you think it's "too short" or "inappropriate" it's a hot day and what? do you want me to boil alive just so you feel better about yourself? i will wear whatever i want and if you don't like it? keep it to yourself okay?" She snapped at him angrily and crossed her arms over her chest and moved closer to the window.

Stiles seemed taken aback as he sat there staring at her with his mouth slightly open. He seemed like he was about to speak but then thought better about judging by how the last two attempts came across. He looked down to his lap guiltily and fiddled with his hands. He looked like a told off puppy and it was making Lydia feel bad. She should really apologise, she had been quite mean to him today. Of course she didn't mean it he just seemed to know what to say to push her buttons or be saying things at the wrong time.

Just as she was about to apologise and explain that she was just not feeling too great, the car came to a stop and Mrs Whittemore announced that they had arrived at the zoo. Before she could even turn back to look at him, Stiles had hopped out of the car so fast, in what looked like an attempt to stay away from her. She frowned a little, she never liked upsetting anybody, especially this much.
