At the lion enclosure, they all met up with Jackson's parents and Bella who had butterfly face paint on and an ice cream in her hand. She was bursting with happiness and it melted Lydia's heart to see her so happy. She'd decided to ignore Stiles for the rest of the trip he was winding her up way too much and she didn't want it to ruin her day. As for Jackson, well he had been particularly off with her today so she decided to not push it too much with him.

The ride home was tiring, being forced to sit next to that insufferable ass all the way back to Jackson's was enough to drive anyone up the wall. When they got to the house, Lydia hopped out as soon as she could, like she was suffocating from just being in there. Bella had fallen asleep on the ride home, she must have been so exhausted from the exciting day she had so Stiles offered to carry her in the house.

She looked so cute being carried by him and it was sweet of him to offer to do that for his sister, despite how much she hated him right now. A part of her wished it was Jackson who had offered but she knew that would never happen especially since he bolted in the house as soon as the car parked up.

When they got inside, Stiles carried Bella upstairs to her bed and Mr Whittemore turned on the TV and sat down, seeming exhausted from the day of driving and walking around too. The sun was setting and it cast a perfect orange glow throughout the living room that made Lydia's hair look like fire.

"Thank you so much for today i loved every minute of it and i think i even caught a bit of tan!" Lydia laughed as spoke to Jackson's parents. Her laugh soon died out as she realised it was getting late. "I...should probably be heading back soon it is getting awfully late..." Lydia trailed off sadly, she always hated leaving this place it felt like more of a home than her actual one did, especially since she knew that nobody would be waiting at home for her when she returned.

"No Lydia wait hunny!" Mrs Whittemore called out to her before she could walk out. "If it's alright with you...we'd be delighted to have you stay another night? you're perfect to have around and we know you're mom won't be home yet so please stay?" Lydia smiled at the request and hugged her. "Of course! I would love to stay another night thank you so much!" Lydia replied gleefully but then frowned a little. "Wait do you know if it's okay with Jackson?" Lydia asked carefully not really wanting an answer.

"I'm sure he'll be fine you're is girlfriend! he should jump at the opportunity to see you more and have you for another night" Mr Whittemore concluded and Lydia smiled shyly. Yeah he "should" but he won't. Lydia thought to herself, the thought alone making her feel shitty. "Anyway thank you so much for today i'll probably be heading up to tell him then!" Lydia cheered to them as she climbed the stairs.

She quietly slipped in to Jackson's room and saw him playing a video game. Without even pausing the game or turning to her, he spoke. "What are you still doing here?" He retorted, his voice full of bitter and disappointment. Lydia shifted awkwardly in the spot she was stood in and fiddled with her charm bracelet. "Oh erm well see it's good cause your parents have asked me to stay another night" She said trying to sound cheerful but it ultimately failing.

"No one ever asked me." Jackson replied coldly under his breath. Lydia felt broken, he didn't even want her here. "Fine fine you can stay don't get all depressed on me but no cuddling remember?" Jackson spoke clearly with no remorse for his girlfriend who looked close to tears. Lydia repeatedly nodded her head before quickly leaving the room. She felt so upset she didn't know what to do and sure as hell wasn't about to cry in front of him, he'd just have a go at her.

She quickly ran to the bathroom and closed the door, sliding her back down the wall and crying into her hands, she sobbed silently for about 5 minutes before she heard floorboards creaking outside the door. She rose to her feet swiftly and tried her best at fixing her makeup and wiping away her tears but it was no use, she was a wreck. "I-i'll be outt in a-a minute, one s-second" She whimpered softly and her voice cracked after all the crying she'd done.
