Days had passed by quickly. The training for the finals of who would go to Nationals ended that day's practice.
The next time Fukurodani would be playing volleyball, it would be at center court of Tokyo's highschool prefecture gym, against Nekoma.

The day would be tomorrow.

"Good work boys, get rest and eat well. Stretch and get here tomorrow at 2:30 to get on the bus. There's nothing more to say for now, except let's fight hard tomorrow." The coach stood with his hands behind his back looking at each of the boys.

You stood next to him with a smile, Kaori on the other side of you.

The coach looked to the two of you, "anything you want to add?"

"Knowing you guys, don't worry about anything until your on the court. Don't go out there already loosing the mental game, because Nekoma will take all the advantages they can get. So get excited to play." Kaori told them.

"We will be the ones to stay on the court as long as we play our hardest. You've got this." You kept it short and simple.

After the short partings words, as a normal routine now, you walked with Bokuto and Akaashi to stop and pass the ball next to the pond, and walked back with Akaashi.

Time really showed it's colors as the cherry trees were completely stripped of petals. The very ones you had walked by before full of pink blooms, were now just the simple branches that shed them.
And all around you the green was no longer visible in the trees.

Once you arrived at the apartments with Akaashi, you froze before you entered the elevator to your dorm section.
"Akaashi..." you began, "don't you dare loose tomorrow." You gave a smile as you looked at him.

His eyes widened for a few seconds before he started to laugh softly.

"Hey what's so funny I'm being serious!?" You huffed out, pouting your cheeks.

"Heh of course you would say something like that, I don't know why I was scared of what you were going to say." He laughed.

"When have I ever said something scary?" You put your hands on your hips.

He laughed again, "You'd be surprised." He joked before looking up at you kindly.

Just looking at his expression you let out a happy sigh, meeting him with a smile and accepting defeat, "I can't be that ridiculous." You giggled.

"I certainly could never be too sure about you." He narrowed his eyes with a smile.

Your heart seemed to pound harder at his soft expression.

"Hmh..." you looked to the ground with a smile and slightly red cheeks, "Well in any case, like I said before, don't you dare loose tomorrow." You looked up to him, putting out a fist.

He dropped his head with a smile, gently meeting your fist with his own, "I don't plan on it."

"And I know you well enough that you'll probably going to be overthinking this tonight. I'll text you to remind to you to go to bed." You chuckled as you walked to your elevator and waved him goodbye.

He waved too as he went to his separate apartment building, smiling to himself.
He couldn't help his goofy grin thinking about you.

Hours passed by after you had properly eaten, showered, and got comfortably placed in bed.

You were there, snuggled into the blankets with your phone facing down on the bed. The curtains in your room were open, but the stars were hard to see as a half moon showed it's light.
Your eyes closed as a smile met your face, and you turned on your side picking up the phone.
