The three of you exited the gym, emerging to the outside. The sun was farther down into the sky, past noon by a bit. The trees were still barren, planted next to the concrete and stone buildings you passed by as you walked.
Bokuto smirked, "you too seem to be getting closer."
"Shut your mouth Bokuto, your being nosy." You playfully yet gently hit the guy in the shoulder.
The owl himself folded his arms as he raised his head high, "I didn't even feel that."
"Do you feel anything but hunger?" You laughed.
"A love to play volleyball." He told you.
"Not what I meant." Your brows furrowed.
Akaashi watched as you bickered playfully with the owl before the boy walked past the two of you in a specific direction.
                              You and the Owl froze.
"Where are you going?" Bokuto asked.
"A restaurant." Akaashi stopped, turning around to look to the two of you. A smile.
"Yeahhh, Akaashi. I'm so glad to have you around. You know all the best places to go for some yummy yummy meat." Bokuto patted his stomach as he followed, catching up to Akaashi.
                              "Your paying." Akaashi admitted bluntly.
"Huh?! But It wasn't my idea!" Bokuto jumped.
"Your the upperclassman. It's polite for you to treat us especially after making Yuan work so hard for you." Akaashi spoke.
You followed close behind them listening, "he didn't make me work too hard ya know. You exerted yourself the same as me." You defended.
Akaashi looked over his shoulder to you, "Your the one I'm worried about. You've been working really hard lately. I notice the things you do for us. Your always doing extra for the team." He spoke gently to you.
                              "Yeah but..." you tried.
"Take it easy, Bokuto-San is perfectly capable of paying." Akaashi looked to the other boy walking next to him.
You furrowed your brows, forming a smile, "Yeah, okay."
                              Akaashi smiled at you softly.
"You made me pay last time as well." The dark haired boy added, directing his words to Bokuto.
                              "Did I?" Bokuto played dumb.
                              "Yes, Bokuto-San."
"Alright Alright I get it. I'll pay." Bokuto gave in.
You smiled, seeing how nice it was. How your life had changed since you had moved, it was special to you. The little things like this. They were special.
"I'm so glad I met you guys." You spoke, catching up to them and meeting Akaashi's side, "it's already been a lot of fun since the short amount of time I've spent with you all."
"Hey Hey Hey, right back atya." Bokuto smiled.
                              "Hmh, I agree." Akaashi spoke.
You and the people who surrounded you were happy now. That's what mattered.
"Yeah, it's especially fun with your favorite player." Bokuto suggested to you, pointing at himself and crossing his arms.
"I don't think that's a correct statement." Akaashi retorted with a straight face.
You offered up a soft laugh, "way to put me on the spot."
"Akaashiii, c'mon I'm never wrong as your upperclassman." Bokuto argued.
