Light peered through the windows as your eyes watched the outside world while the feint gibberish of your English teacher played in the background. The trees were green, yet already turning slightly yellow. Fall was near.
Your eyes fell narrowed as you turned your head down into a yawn, and then the 12:00 bell rang throughout the halls, echoing with vibrations that lifted the spirits of students. Lunch.

It had been a few days since your first arrival at the school. Akaashi had showed you the campus as stated, and things were going well. You had a rough idea of the layout at school and had met plenty of new people in your classes. Which you shared several with Akaashi. Many times, you found yourself with either Kaori or Akaashi, and Bokuto as well at moments.

School had ended not long after, so you found yourself walking home. Akaashi and Bokuto had practice immediately afterwards, and you hadn't gotten around to asking the girls manager if you could play on the team late in the season, and honestly you weren't entirely sure if it was the best thing to do or not.

Eventually you had found yourself home, everything unpacked and settled. It wasn't a small apartment, but it wasn't big either. There was the kitchen and the living room, that basically were the same space, and a bathroom inside the one bedroom. It was thinly decorated with your favorite colors, and your couch took up most of the space in the living room. You walked into your bedroom to find your twin bed, bookshelf, dresser, and of course the balcony that led out from your bedroom for an odd reason.
Outside, it was becoming darker, and the orange rays of the sun that peered through your drapes soon reached to become a dark shadow of blue as the night's stars began to show.

It was soothing to stand outside your balcony, letting the breeze brush your face gently.
However, you were curious and wanted to explore the city, since you were more of a night owl it was easier to go later in the day.

You got down to the ground level and found yourself walking in an area you didn't know.
Eventually, after not much time, you found yourself at a pond, sitting on the bench.
Gently, the moons rays reflected onto the water, and the light danced in swirls as koi breached the surface, sending ripples across the pond until they couldn't reach any farther.
Trees swayed behind you in the wind, creating a calm melody of leaves crackling in the breath of wind.

The air was cool.

You heard faint conversation leading from the sidewalk, and one of the motion street lights turned on.

As you turned your head, there were Bokuto and Akaashi. Could have predicted it.

Bokuto smiled at you, "hey hey hey." Akaashi stared, his lips parted as his eyes widened in the sight of you. A ball was placed under his arm.

You waved.

Somehow you found yourself in a triangle, tossing the ball in the air with a swiftness that swayed with your arms. It sent serotonin down your skin as the ball touched your fingertips, and glided back up into the air into Bokuto's touch. He caught the ball.

"I should head back, the crickets are starting, and I'm starving..." he put extra emphasis on starving. Bokuto was obviously in a better mood.

"You seem happier now." You pointed out.

"Yeahh, I had some amazing cross shots today, isn't that right Akaashi?" Bokuto said confidently.

"They were normal for you Bokuto-san." Akaashi said bluntly.

"Jeez, nows that time when you say (oh yeah, they were super amazing), not normal!" Bokuto put one hand on his hip and the other on his head.

"Isn't normal good?" Akaashi muttered under his breath, it was barely audible to you even.
